Jurassic Park is one of those most iconic films of all time. After two sub-par entries to the franchise, Universal decided it was time to breathe new life into the franchise after 14 years. The new Jurassic World is coming to theaters soon, taking place 22 years after the original Jurassic Park. However, Universal almost went a completely different route, rebooting the franchise all together. So, it got me thinking, "What if they had rebooted it? What would it look it? Who would the cast be?" After some long thought, here are my picks for a hypothetical recasting of the 1993 classic, Jurassic Park.

Dr. Alan Grant - Bryan Cranston

"What kind of park is this?"
"What kind of park is this?"

Bryan Cranston seems to be fit for this role perfectly. He's one of the finest actors in work right now. It would be quite the departure from Walter White in Breaking Bad, which is what he's most known for. However, so was Godzilla. He is a very versatile actor and could play Alan Grant in a way that would make Sam Neill and Steven Spielberg proud.

Dr. Ian Malcolm - Robert Downey Jr.

"Life, uh, finds a way."
"Life, uh, finds a way."

Okay, let's be honest with ourselves here. There's not many people that could replace the almighty Jeff Goldblum. However, RDJ might be the best choice. As John Hammond once said, "I bring scientists, you bring a rock star!" Downey Jr. could bring more of the rock star persona and some more classic Malcolm sass that we've been missing since 1997's The Lost World.

Dr. Ellie Sattler - Naomi Watts

"Dinosaur eats man, woman inherits the earth."
"Dinosaur eats man, woman inherits the earth."

Naomi Watts is a spectacular actress. When I saw 2014's Birdman, I was blown away by her performance. She could no doubt be a kick-ass Ellie Sattler and bring another strong female lead to the screen, which is what Hollywood desperately needs. Plus, I really wanna see Naomi Watts take on some raptors.

John Hammond - Michael Caine

"Welcome to Jurassic Park."
"Welcome to Jurassic Park."

This one took awhile for me to think of, and I'm honestly surprised I didn't think of Caine sooner. He'd be absolutely perfect as the eccentric billionaire John Hammond. It would be hard to replace Richard Attenborough, but Caine could play the role fantastically while also giving Attenborough a run for his money.

Robert Muldoon - Daniel Craig

"Clever girl."
"Clever girl."

We all know Daniel Craig is awesome. Now imagine him hunting raptors. Do we need any other reason? That's what I thought.

Ray Arnold - Donald Glover

"Hold on to your butts."
"Hold on to your butts."

Donald Glover is a spectacular actor and I would love to see him in the role of Ray Arnold. It would be a departure from his other roles, but Samuel L. Jackson wasn't exactly known for playing computer geeks either.

Dennis Nedry - Josh Gad

"No wonder you're extinct."
"No wonder you're extinct."

Josh Gad is a very funny man, but he doesn't very often play the jerk or villain of the film. He could bring back the comedic side Wayne Knight brought to it, but also make it an entirely new role.

Donald Gennaro - Simon Pegg

"We're gonna make a fortune off this place."
"We're gonna make a fortune off this place."

Simon Pegg is a brilliant actor, and I think he'd fit the role of Gennaro quite well. He'd bring a level of comedy that the character hasn't really had before, and that could be a change for the better. Plus, I really wanna see Shaun of the Dead get eaten by a T-Rex.

Lex and Tim Murphy - Elle Fanning and Ty Simpkins

"He left us! He left us!"
"He left us! He left us!"
"They're, uh... they're flocking this way."
"They're, uh... they're flocking this way."

These kids are great actors, despite their young age. And I know, Ty Simpkins is already in Jurassic World. Well, that movie doesn't count in this article! Still, that is one lucky kid.
