Marvel is an Easter basket, with plenty of Easter eggs that just keep on elevating the movies. Aside from the many references to our world, and the Stan Lee cameos, there is somewhat of a "secret" Easter egg that has appeared in all of the Phase 2 Marvel movies. This particular Easter egg is one in which you may have noticed, but not quite understood why it was there... I am talking about hands being chopped off as an homage to Star Wars (as seen above).

Basically in every Star Wars movie, someone's hands are chopped off (i.e. Luke and Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Mace Windu, etc.). Well, Marvel decided to follow up with that during Phase 2 of its movies. And with that, I'll list the movies in order of appearance and whose arms are unfortunately chopped off.

1. Aldrich Killian - Ironman 3

"Hot hot hot hot"
"Hot hot hot hot"

2. Thor - Thor: The Dark World

This was a dream right?

3. Bucky Barnes - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

And the "Winter" Soldier was born

4. Groot - Guardians of the Galaxy

Double homage?
Double homage?

5. Ulysses Klaw - Avengers: Age of Ultron

And Ulysses "Klaw" is born

7. Phil Coulson - Agents of Shield Season 2

What's in store for Phil in Season 3

Wait, so knowing this, is there some sort of spoiler for Ant-man? The answer is most probably yes. As to who might be the victim of this fun, yet unfortunate, homage might be, we can only speculate. But the fact that Marvel is playing with Easter eggs like this just proves how fun and creative the MCU can be.
