Umm... are you going to drink that Skooma?

Just when you thought we were already living in an incredibly futuristic age, with infinite information at our fingertips, tablet computers and kettles that require WiFi connections, suddenly a wild YouTuber appears with an invention so insane, so awesome and so downright dangerous (see: deadly), I wish I had six of them.

Welcome to the Laser Shotgun

"MOOOOM?!"
"MOOOOM?!"

Created by the aptly named styropyro, the same guy who brought us this, friggin', LASER SWORD...

"If you strike me down..."
"If you strike me down..."

...he has gone out of his to way to create the ultimate future death weapon. Well one of the many ultimate future death weapons to come. Combining 8 5W laser diodes, a focusing ray, and a lithium-ion battery, styropyro has concocted a 40W laser shotgun that would make the T-800 or any miscellaneous laser wielding, '80s throwback villain go weak at the knees.

"Hey Dylan? Need a hand?"
"Hey Dylan? Need a hand?"

To truly show you the sheer scale of how ridiculous this thing is, a simple laser pointer emits rays of up to 5mW (milliwatts - this would equate to 0.005W), whereas, on a much larger scale, the Navy are currently using infrared weaponry that generates 30kW (30,000W) of power, and can cause seriouse damage to drone aircrafts and other military weaponry.

Th-That Is so Cool...

I know, right?! Have a look at styropyro showing off and discussing his wares, and be glad that Skynet has yet to become self aware.
