With the GTA-V-focused period now over for Rockstar, it's time to concentrate on what lies ahead for one of the most respected developers in the industry. What Rockstar title could we see arrive on the XBOX One, PS4 and PC next and will we see it get a release date in 2015? We could potentially see any number of sequels return this year, with such indelible IPs like L.A. Noire, Max Payne, Bully, Manhunt, Midnight Club and Red Dead Redemption all begging for new instalments. But there's still one Rockstar game who's status remains illusive - the Playstation exclusive, Agent.

Agent was officially announced as a PS3 exclusive during Sony's E3 convention in 2009, but we haven't heard much of the game since. Seeing as it's been a good few years since this intriguing title had its name resurface in the media, it's believed that Rockstar are now developing the stealth action title for the PS4. Take Two Interactive renewed two trademarks for the game in July, 2013 but that's really the last we've heard of it. Could 2015 be Agent's year? Or is the highly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 next on their release schedule?

Red Dead Redemption 2 vs the PS4 Exclusive Agent for the Next Rockstar Release Date

As an avid playstation fan, I'm naturally excited at the prospect of a Rockstar title being exclusively released for Sony's next gen console. Though perhaps the release date delay Agent is currently undergoing is due to the title's move onto other platforms. It was an unusual idea that Rockstar would exclusively release one of their games for the PS3 - much like Bethesda, they're known for releasing their products on everything aside from a Nintendo device.

How do you feel about an exclusive Rockstar title and what do you think is causing the delay? Perhaps Agent never lived up to the standards that the developer upholds and has been consistently delayed since 2007. In any case, a stealth action game developed by Rockstar would be a fascinating title to catch a glimpse of. With Rockstar yet to reveal any title for 2015 or onwards - though they are hiring for a big open world game - we're wondering whether Agent will emerge from the woodwork. But I think we all agree that Red Dead Redemption 2 (or Red Dead 3) is certainly under development in one of Rockstar's studios.

Personally, I'm always more interested in seeing new IPs. I'd be much more excited for Agent to get a release date, purely due to the fact that we all know Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to happen. A stealth action game from Rockstar is still a mysterious entity and I sincerely hope they're still developing it.
