Captain America: Civil War is directed by the Russo brothers and will hit theaters in 2016. It's cast will be composed by already known MCU stars like Rober Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Chris Evans will olay our favorite star striped hero for the fifth time on the big screen.
Well, in my opinion, this comic book massive event has a very different approach on the world of super-heroes and villains alike. I'm sure this should be the case even in the big screen representation.
I think the best changes applied to this cast would be:
1.Keanu Reeves as Iron Man
As the face of the pro-registration act, Tony Stark plays his part as the genius, billionaire, playboy, philantropist that he is, but also becomes unexpectedly ruthless and merciless in the fights with his former friends. The best examples are the fully powered repulsor rays that he shoots at Spider-man when the web-slinger switches sides and the severe punches he throws at Rogers (see the cover).
Reeves would formidably suit this version of Iron Man. Besides the sense of humour and the charisma, he does a great job at beating hard everyone on the screen (besides himself, of course) as seen not just in Matrix, but also in the more recent movie, John Wick.
2. Theo James as Captain America
James is an actor best known for portraying Four in the Divergent series as well as playing the role role of David in Underworld: Awakening. I picked him because he has the looks, the physique and also turns out to play a great role as a motivator (Cap inspires a lot of people troughout the story).
Also, this actor had a hand-to-hand combat full carrier, and I'd be thrilled to see a confrontation between him and Reeves.
3. Edi Gathegi as Falcon
Besides the fact that, unlike Mackie, the man looks exactly like the comic book hero, he also is a man that had a carrier full of action, playing roles in movies such as Crank, X-men: First Class and Twilight. And, furthermore, I would really like to not only see him play Falcon, but also take the mantle of Captain America after Rogers dies, like in the comics.
4. Milla Jovovich as Black Widow
Delivering us tons of awesomeness since 1997's Fifth Element and before it , this actress knows no boundries when it comes at being a badass.
I remember watching Ultraviolet no more than a year ago and thinking: "Why in the name of Marvel didn't they pick her for playing the Black Widow?". because this movie and the Resident Evil ones shows us how much more than a chemistry bonds between her and on-screen combat.
Milla Jovovich surely is the best for playing the strong but also seductive Black Widow in any Marvel arc converted on the big screen.
5. Chris Pine as Hawkeye
I don't know about you, but I personally grew up with the funny and often not very wise Hawkeye from the Iron Man animated series. Sure, I like Jeremy Renner as an actor, but the more experienced in humourous movies Pine would surely do the trick (shot) better.
What are your toughts about my cast?
