The year 2015 has been a great year for Japanese animation. Till now, there have been several great anime series, such as the second season of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders", "Blood Blockade Battlefront", "Death Parade", "Durarara!!x2 Shou" etc.
One Punch Man
"One Punch Man" is one of the most popular and beloved manga nowadays, and it was a just a matter of time before it was adapted into an anime. The story focuses on Saitama, an average-looking fellow who is actually a superhero that can defeat his enemies with a single punch. His quest to find a villain who can challenge him is filled with a lot of hilarious moments.
Nick Brown and Worick Arcangelo are a duo of "handymen"; they take jobs that nobody else is willing to take from both police and mafia, in a town filled with criminals, dirty cops and prostitutes.
Bakemono no Ko
"The Boy and the Beat" is an anime film directed by Mamoru Hosoda, who is mostly known as the director of "Wolf Children", "Summer Wars" and "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time". It tells the story of a boy who gets lost in the bakemono world and becomes the disciple of the bakemono Kumatetsu.
The manga of "Devilman" was first published in 1972 and has sold more than 10 million volumes. A TV anime adaptation based on the manga also ran between 1972 and 1973. This "Devilman" film will be a new remake of the beloved classic. "Devilman" tells the story of Ryou Asuka, whose father was killed by demons. Ryou asks his friend, Akira Fudou for help. However, since only a demon is strong enough to fight other demons, Akira lets himself be possessed. As Devilman, Akira must stop the demons and save humanity.
"Lupin III" is another beloved classic that will have a new anime series this year. For those who have never watched any of Lupin's adaptations, it tells the story of Arsene Lupin III, grandson of the infamous Arsene Lupin, and his partners in crime: master hitman Daisuke Jigen, femme fatale Fujiko Mine and samurai Goemon Ishikawa XIII. Together, they seek to steal the world's most famous treasures, while avoiding the police and the tireless inspector Koichi Zenigata.
Dragon Ball Super
"Dragon Ball" is a timeless classic and has played a significant part in many people's childhoods. The story will take place after the Majin Buu saga, as Goku struggles once again to maintain Earth's peace while fighting against formidable foes.
"God Eater" is an anime adaptation of Bandai Namco's PSP game series of the same name. The story is set in Japan in the year 2071, where most of the world has been destroyed by mysterious creatures known as Aragami. The story focuses on an organization called Fenrir, whose members specialize in exterminating the Aragami. These people are also known as "God Eaters".
This year, three anime films, based on the novels of author Project Itoh, will be aired in October, November and December respectively. "Genocidal Organ" is the first film. It's produced by the studio Manglobe and directed by Shuko Murase, who is knows as the director of Ergo Proxy and Witch Hunter Robin. All the three films will feature designs by illustrator redjuice.
The second film based on Project Itoh's works. It will be produced by Studio 4°C and directed by Michael Arias (Tekkon Kinkreet) and Takashi Nakamura (A Tree of Palme).
Shisha no Teikoku
"The Empire of Corpses" is the third movie of Project Itoh. It is produced by Wit Studio and directed by Ryotaro Makihara (Hal).
Ushio to Tora
The manga "Ushio to Tora" has been published from 1990 to 1996 and has had a 10 episode anime adaptation between 1992 and 1993. The story focuses on Ushio Aotsuki, who, in order to save his friends and family from invading spirits, chooses to release the beat Tora from his captivity. The plot focuses on Ushio's and Tora's relationship, as they battle other mythological beasts.
When a popular online game is shut down, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. He is transformed into a skeleton, and, as the world begins to change and NPCs start to feel emotions, Momong strives to conquer the new world of the game.
The manga of "Prison School" is known for 2 things: humor and ecchi. The story focuses on five boys, who are the first boys in history to enroll in the all-girls boarding school Hachimitsu Private Academy. At first, they are overjoyed from the thought that they will be surrounded by women, but reality proves harsher than they expected.
Young Black Jack
"Young Black Jack" is a prequel to Osamu Tezuka's legendary manga "Black Jack". This prequel will follow Black Jack when he was still a medical student in the 1960s.
The premise of this anime sounds interesting, even though I do not know much about it. It deals with monsters who attack people and focuses on a scientist who is seeking the truth behind these attacks.
Digimon Adventure Tri
The story of "Digimon Adventure Tri" is set six years after the events of "Digimon Adventure". Taichi Yagami is now a 17-year-old high school student. He and his friends must team up once again with their Digimon in order to protect the Digital World from evil.
