Have you ever watched a Disney film and thought that the animals sometimes show human characteristics? This thought may have passed you by, but an artist from Wisconsin had this idea and used it to create amazing artwork. Pugletto has reimagined what the Disney animals could look like as human beings. With so many Disney Princess's in the spotlight, it's time for these little four-legged friends to have their time to shine.

In an interview with Cosmopolitain.com Pugletto spoke about how it all began:

"I was actually scrolling through Deviantart one day and just got really frustrated about the amount of Simbas with white skin and flowing red hair. The way I see it, is The Lion King is a story that takes place in Africa. I reimagined the characters as humans the way they would look if they were from Africa."

Tramp and Lady: Lady and the Tramp

I think its really creative how Pugletto has sampled colors here. Using Lady's blue collar along with the color of the dogs fur, the artist has created outfits for the human versions.

Baloo and Bagheera: Jungle Book

The expressions here really do make these human versions doppelgängers of their animal former selves.

Kovo: Lion King 2

Kovu is known to sometimes have a dark side and the human version really does hold an unsettling look in his eyes..

Jenna and Balto: Balto

This mashup of Husky and Wolfdog a.k.a. Jenna and Balto is sweet and really reflects their kind natured personalities.

Duchess and Thomas O'Malley: Aristocats

This version of Thomas and Duchess is totally unique but also instantly recognizable.

Timon and Pumbaa: The Lion King

Timon and Pumbaa are easily recognizable here and their cheeky personalities really shine through in this human versions of our beloved characters.

Hyenas : The Lion King

The artist has managed to make the Hyenas from The Lion King even more sinister, I never thought this could be possible. The one on the right looks like he's gonna take someone's soul.

I think Pugletto's work is a real celebration of diversity in general and I can't wait to see what else this artist creates. To see more of Pugletto' fantastic artwork and unique ideas head over to Tumblr or Deviantart.
