During these tumultuous months for Konami, Silent Hills and the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Hideo Kojima has remained silent about his game and what exactly is happening in the studio he's worked under for years. Metal Gear Solid 5 is still slated for a September 1st release date, and we've been assured that all of the upset at Konami hasn't affected the development process of the game - but it has affected our outlook on buying their game.

But now with E3, this is Konami's greatest opportunity to right their wrongs and show off the last game in the Metal Gear Solid franchise - at least for Kojima. He's been present at a lot of E3 conferences over the years, and seeing as he's unveiling possibly his greatest Metal Gear Solid game yet this year, it'd be a real shame if Konami prevented him from attending the showcase. Will Kojima talk about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at E3 and will the recent Konami controversy affect the demonstration?

Metal Gear Solid 5 Phantom Pain: Kojima, E3 & the KonamI Controversy

With all of the leaks of information from within the enclosed doors of Konami's offices over the past few months, it's been hard to focus on Metal Gear Solid 5. We can't help but want to know what's been happening within this studio. But the Metal Gear franchise is one of the greatest things in Video Games - I adore every instalment and can't wait to see how it's expanded upon for this open world adventure. Hopefully E3 can redirect our attention cause I don't even feel that hyped at the moment.

The Japanese are very prudent, so calling out their work place is not exactly something that's done. Kojima isn't going to walk on stage and proceed to bash Konami for everything they've done to him and their employees - that wouldn't be very professional. But if he is in attendance, he's going to know what we'll all be dying to ask him. If he's not in attendance then the bitterness surrounding the whole Konami situation will be entirely amplified.

[Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain](tag:2683985) is still one of the biggest games I want to see at E3. Kojima always takes ages with showing it off, and I'm sure we'll receive a nice long trailer to indulge in. But will we learn new facts? Will we get to see the opening of the game that so many gaming publications had the pleasure of playing last week? Most likely we will, but the discussion about Konami will probably not be made anywhere near the E3 stage.

So what do you guys think we'll see of Metal Gear Solid 5 at E3? Will their be an air of awkwardness with Konami's presence? And do you think publications will get the opportunity to ask Kojima about what's happening back in Japan? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!
