Not only is the subject matter insanely intriguing, this film also contains a wickedly talented cast, including Billy Crudup, Ezra Miller, Olivia Thirlby, Tye Sheridan, Keir Gilchrist, Michael Angarano, and Thomas Mann.
This film follows the true story of Stanford University professor Zimbardo, who in 1970 set up an experiment using students to serve as prisoners and guards in an artificial jail situation to gather information on typical abusive behavior in prisons.
The students showed us how a little bit of power can go straight to our heads, causing us to abuse our powers and how abuse can cause even the strongest to become the most meek and passive.
This film will be released on July 17th, and is one you won't want to miss, as learning more about humanity can only help us become better people and not succumb to the power hungry demon inside each of us.
