If there's one thing Marvel fans are good at, it's mindless speculation! I always love to think about what the brilliant minds behind the MCU are going to do next, based on what I read online, in old comics, or even just crazy thoughts at work.
1. Tony Stark in Stealth Armor
This is probably the coolest armor design Hot Toys came up with around the time Avengers Age of Ultron came out. It's also very different. It's not in Tony Stark's usual Iron Man colors of red and yellow. It's stealth (except for the STARK logos all over it) and even says "Retro Reflective Panels," meaning it can go invisible like a Hellicarrier. Perhaps Tony (or SHIELD / Avengers) uses it for missions that they aren't supposed to really go on that require an invisible stealth armored suit with superior fire power. Like going after a certain missing Winter Soldier...
Marvel should be making an announcement soon that they have found our new Spider-Man (technically, our third Spidey in 10 years). I would love to see some kind of viral campaign (One Shot, Agents of SHIELD, or Youtube video, etc) that heralds the fact that there's a new superhero in New York. Also something similar for OsCorp--a company that I always envisioned as a kind of Private Sector SHIELD.
3. Skye’s Secret Warriors
At the end of Season 2 of SHIELD, Coulson and Skye teased us with this classified folder that shows some enhanced/Inhuman individuals that could be part of a SHIELD team that's not part of the Index and could operate in total secrecy.
This team should consist of Skye, Lincoln, Deathlock, perhaps Donnie Gill, and of course....
Around the time Mockingbird was announced for SHIELD, Whedon favorite Fran Kranz tweeted that he was going to play Robbie Baldwin, AKA Speedball. I would love to see this in the new season of [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](tag:722469)...
4. What will Coulson's hand become?
In a total shocker, Coulson got (a patented Phase 2 trademark) his hand cut off! He needs a new hand. This picture above was posted by Clark Gregg (he did say it was a joke) and was something I instantly envisioned for the SHIELD Director. Other "handy" ideas I came up with could be using Dr. Cho's Cradle or the Extremis / Centipede formula to grow him a new one.
Dude! What happened to Jemma Simmons? The gooey block was described as a Kree weapon against the Inhumans. And Simmons has been a little extreme with her views against these super-powered people. It also looks a bit like Venom. Just sayin'.
6. Punisher / Jessica Jones
These two characters will be added to the new block of Marvel Netflix shows soon! I love the idea of the Punisher in the MCU and the actor they are using to portray him. "If you want peace, prepare for war." Just some brutal gun-play and killing bad guys....
As for Jessica Jones, I know virtually nothing about her, but the idea and show premise look exciting and interesting (from Moviepilot).
"Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need... especially if they're willing to cut her a check."
7. Red Hulk
How could you not be excited for another Hulk in the MCU? Fighting against Banner for the good of the Registration Act! Well, maybe? I would love to see an older actor like William Hurt (playing General Ross on Tony Stark's side) transforming into a super powerful CGI being. Also, the angrier he gets, the hotter (heat wise, smart guy) he becomes! He also retains Ross' intelligence, making him a very scary opponent.
8. Pym Particles
Man, I'm starting to look forward to Ant-Man! Marvel and the Ant-Man website recently started to talk about Pym Particles, which allows the user to either shrink or grow larger. Not only are they playing a role in that movie, but in Civil War as well.
9. The New Avengers / Avengers Academy
"Hey man, what do you think about those new Avengers? They gonna be any good?" That is the question that regular citizens of the MCU will be talking about constantly. The Avengers became super celebrities after New York, and they do save the world on a daily basis. Also, the new Avengers Academy / Organization seems to be the new public SHIELD (as opposed to Coulson's SHIELD), do they have legal authority to do what SHIELD used to do?
10. The new Redwing Drone
I think I'm the only person obsessed with the news that Falcon is getting Redwing in Civil War. And it's going to be a super cool DRONE! Perhaps attached to, or controlled by, his wrist gauntlet?
The MCU’s Redwing will be a robotic drone that will still be mentally linked to Sam - just not via telepathy. The drone is described as being red and resembling a cooler, modified MCU-like "bird" drone." The big question is whether Tony Stark built the Redwing drone or if someone else gave it to Sam...and considering that they’re still looking for Bucky Barnes, having Redwing will come in handy for the search. While some comic book fans may be upset that Redwing won’t be a real bird, this drone sounds like it could be really cool, especially if it has offensive capabilities of its own (missiles, razor-sharp talons, etc). -- Cineblend.com
11. Dr. Strange being arrogant and awesome
Well, duh. This is what I expected when Marvel cast the perfect actor to play Doctor Strange...
12. Black Widows
Thanks to Pintrest for the image I was looking for! I would like some more beautiful and lethal Black Widows please. Either it's going to be Dottie in Agent Carter or Natasha in Civil War or her own movie! Or both!
13. Civil War
That's what it's all about, isn't it?
