Not very long ago, Marvel announced their remaining franchises that are to be introduced in the MCU. And to be fair, every superhero lover is on the horizon of witnessing, possibly, the best superhero to every be made, i.e, Civil War.
Many fans have not yet settled on the idea of getting so many heroes in one movie and that too not in the most anticipated movie of the MCU (Avengers : Infinity War Part I & II), but the possibility of being a spectacle is the most definite outcome of this movie. And to top it off, when RDJ was asked about how this movie was going to be, he simply said :
It's gonna be huge.
I mean come on, these words are enough to satisfy us right?
Listed below, is all you need to know about Civil War
Marvel has never failed to disappoint us with the quality of actors they deliver to us, right from the start of MCU (Iron Man) till their next big thing (Ant Man). With the rumours floating that Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor have been casted as Ancient one and Baron Mordo respectively, Marvel are just going to keep adding to their list of A-List actors.
The BRILLIANT A-List cast includes :
Robert Downey Jr.
Avengers : AoU ended with the founding of the new avengers and the so called 'retirement' of the old Avengers, which REALLY sets things up for the introduction of Civil War. It doesn't just show us the entry of new superheroes, but also the re-entry of a few important members of the Civil War
For now, the confirmed heroes that we will be seeing are:
Tony Stark/Iron Man
Steve Rogers/Captain America
Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow
Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch
Buckey Barnes/Winter Soldier
Scott Lang/Ant Man
James Rhodes/War Machine
Rumoured Superheroes/Characters :
Bruce Banner/The Hulk
The Super Villains
Marvel has not yet confirmed on how many or what sort of villains we are going to see in this movie. As of now, Baron Zemo is definitely gonna be our villain, alongside Brock Rumlow, a.k.a, Crossbones.
How Did We Get To Civil War?
The ending of Avengers : AoU showed a glimpse of what Marvel has in store of us. Their patient and slow build up towards the closing of MCU has been a soft, but quiet journey. Now, the ending of Captain America 2 showed us the "death" of Brock Rumlow, who comes back from the dead into his alter ego known as Crossbones.
Who got him back to life? Hydra.
Later on as his healing is progressing, he gets trained into human a weapon and is ordered to assassinate Captain America, in which he succeeds.
Towards the end of AoU, we all were expecting something big to happen (like, Tony and Steve have a small verbal fight on things related to 'What Next?') which would then have given us an idea of what is going to happen next in the future outings of the 2 giants. But instead, we got the New Avengers.
We all know how the Civil War starts in the comics (look away for those who don't know), with the interference of the government after the Ultron acts which creates a major havoc and outrage around the world. My guess as to how the previous events will affect Civil War is that, Martin Freeman will be one of the major government officials carrying out the Superhero Registration Act which convinces Tony that it is the best way peace would be made. Tony goes to Cap to talk him into agreeing into the act, but The Cap thinks otherwise, which kicks off the beginning of the Civil War.
How Will It Affect The Future Of MCU?
Civil War is the first movie of MCUs Phase 3 which is the last and final of the famous cinematic universe. It will for sure kick off the entry of new superheroes and what they have to give us in the MCU. Not just the entry of superheroes we are also gonna witness entries/re-entries of some vital villains.
Now, during the events of Civil War, Cap gets killed by his nemesis Crossbones (this was the main reason why it had to stop). The assassination led to all the teammates of Captain America giving in to the government and we witnessing the birth of the Bucky Barnes as the new Captain America.
My guess is, Marvel will go as per the comics. Or wait. They HAVE to go as per the comics no matter what. Otherwise, there is possibly no way Iron Man and Captain America will ever patch up once again (unless Marvel come up with a really crazy idea, like how they always do).
Many sources around Marvel are reporting that the past villains that have appeared in other Marvel Studios movies COULD make an appearance, not just in Civil War but also in the next big ventures of Marvel Studios.
We already know we will be seeing new Superheroes (with their solo movie) that include :
But who are the villains? Could we be in for a recurrence made by past villains like Red Skull, Ultron, Malekith, etc? Or could we be seeing completely new enemies like Baron Mordo, Mysterio, Klaw, etc?
Personally, I would love to see some new villain rather than an old traditional psychopath. Like how they did it in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Keeping Green Goblin for the second part was a wise move, but they should've got Norman Osborn rather than Harry Osborn.
The MCU is a wide wide universe with many possible outcomes and events. Think you have some new theory made up that you want to share? Or just damn eager to put your knowledge about Civil War? The comments box is all yours....
Thats all from my side. Stay tuned for my next post which will feature something, insane and crazy. Goodbye for now.
