Coming to theaters this Fall is a new action thriller by the name of Sicario. Starring the likes of Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Jon Bernthal and Josh Brolin, Sicario takes moviegoers into the world of crime in the drug-fueled sands of Mexico. Blunt plays Kate Macy, an FBI agent who finds herself on a mission to track down a drug lord. To make things more complicated, Kate is joined by an elite government task force that is hired to track down the cartel leader. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, but it will be hitting theaters nationwide in September. To see what Sicario is all about, take a peek below and hit play!

As you can see from watching the trailer, Sicario is a thrilling crime story filled with intense moments. The trailer shows us that you need some serious badasses to handle missions like the one detailed in Sicario. These characters together certainly look like a group that can get the job done, but for the sake of novelty, how would other badasses deal with this kind of situation? Pop culture is filled with gritty, yet cool characters who take on dangerous tasks with ease. So in the wake of this exciting clip whetting our appetites for action, let's check out a few other cinematic bruisers that would be fun to see in an intense scenario like the one happening in the upcoming film.

Anton Chigurh

While I have my issues with the crime drama No Country For Old Men, one of things that made the film worthwhile was the hitman Anton (Javier Bardem). Anton was charged with hunting down Llewellyn Moss (Josh Brolin) and getting back the money that Llewellyn stole. Anton certainly had his own methods of dealing with his task, like flipping a coin to see if he would kill a cashier, or let them live. Anton was definitely good at what he did as he had no problem getting the ultimate job done. In a situation like Sicario, Anton would have little to no problem tracking down the targeted crime lord. Just give him his target and the quiet hitman will do the rest. It may take some time, but eventually the cartel would find their member inexplicably deceased.

James Bond

You can't go wrong with 007. The character of James Bond needs no explanation. The secret agent has been on countless missions over the years, ranging from subtle to the ridiculous. The agent has dealt with every sort of target on his adventures; from rogue spies and other crime lords to secret organizations. So, Bond is obviously no stranger at dealing with an incredibly dangerous mission. In a case like Sicario, Bond could easily get in and get the job done. Though, do not be shocked if there is extensive collateral damage to sift through during the mission. Then again, it wouldn't be the work of James Bond if there was not some kind of charming finesse to the mission, too.

Once a soldier, Wilson Slade's life changed when he went under a procedure to genetically alter his abilities. Now a super-soldier, Slade became a mercenary and forever being known as the monicker, Deathstroke. Deathstroke has been a thorn in the side of several characters and teams such as the Teen Titans as well as the Justice League. He's expertly skilled with a number of weapons like swords and guns and martial arts skills that rivals even Batman's abilities. Needless to say, Deathstroke would be perfect for any mission you have in mind. Deathstroke takes on superheroes on a regular basis, making something like a drug cartel a walk in the park for the mercenary. A mission like this would be an easy day for this terminator.

Boba Fett

Cloned and raised by Jango Fett, Boba Fett became one of the notorious bounty hunters in the Star Wars universe - not to mention becoming one of the most beloved characters in the whole franchise. Though most of his feats come from Star Wars' Expanded Universe, you can tell that Boba Fett is a badass just by looking at him. Seeing that this character is known for dealing with a wide variety of beings, taking on the cartel would be easy-peasy for this intergalactic badass. Even though it would - most likely - be rather easy for Boba Fett to deal with, you cannot deny that it would be oh-so entertaining.

The Punisher

After losing his family, Frank Castle dedicated his life to avenging his loved ones. He does this by hunting down the seedy individuals that continuously break the law, forever earning him the nickname of "The Punisher." Whether he is using a gun or just his hardened fists, The Punisher has a number of ways of getting the job done. The Punisher is a part of the Marvel Universe, but the character primarily deals with the likes of crime bosses and gangsters, instead of supervillains. So dealing with the situation in Sicario will be old hat for Frank Castle. Of course, The Punisher would likely exceed any expectations set for him when completing the mission, too. Not only would Frank take out his target, he would likely deal with the drug lord's right-hand man, the grunt workers, the bodyguards, and any C-level thug hanging around, too. He always plans to completely eradicate the problem. It makes no difference who you are...if you have shattered the law in such a way, well, then you have one serious badass to answer to.

It would undeniably be cool to see the likes of The Punisher or James Bond dealing with real life threats like the one in Sicario. Even though we will never see these five cinematic tough guys deal with this crime thriller's realistic situation, perhaps Kate Macy and Alejandro will be new additions to the long list of pop culture badasses...

The only way to be sure is to check out Sicario when it hits theaters on September 18th in a limited release, or on the 25th of September when it gets a wide release!

Which badass would you like to get the job done?
