Daryl Dixon and Beth Greene are (and in the case of Beth, "were") fan favorites on The Walking Dead. If you enjoyed their chemistry on camera, the latest rumor may not come as much of a shock to you. The two are reportedly dating! It's always cool to see people bond on set and spark off-camera relationships, but in this case I think it's especially adorable.
Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Emily Kinney (Beth) met through the show, and it seems that their on-camera chemistry has spilled out into real life. I was going to include clips of them from the show, but this fan made mashup posted by WatsUpMeg to the tune of one of my favorite songs, "Fast Car," is a good deal better than anything I could have gathered.
An unknown source had this to say about the couple's relationship:
"They had a connection early on in the show, but the romance developed recently. They're still pretty guarded about it."
Sadly, Reedus has denied these claims, but perhaps he's doing such as a method of disguising the relationship from the public. It's completely fair to want privacy, and that could be part of it. Or it's not true, which is certainly a possibility as well.
Kinney spoke to US Magazine back in December, and referred to the reaction from her cast-mates when they were finding out that she was going to be written off of the show. She said Reedus was one of the most kind and courteous about it all:
“Everyone reached out, though I remember Norman texted me—he’s so sweet."
Too cute for words? Yes.
It's not clear how serious the two really are yet, but if they are together, they're going through a long-distance period now, what with Reedus filming Season 6 of The Walking Dead and Kinney touring musically.
What do you think is going on between the two apocalyptic phonemes?
