Now, over the years, the Marvel and DC universes have faced off a whole bunch of times - whether it was in the (very '80s) The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans, DC. vs Marvel in the mid-'90s, or Avengers/JLA in the 2000s, it often seems that the respective comic-book universes just can't keep their fists away from one another.

And, so, with the recent rise of the Marvel and DC Cinematic Universes, it seemed about time to pit the two respective groups of heroes against one another once more...only this time, you get to make the final decision.

That's right, gang, it's:

Marvel's Avengers vs. DC's Justice League

Now, since we're talking cinematic universe's here, it only seemed fair to limit Marvel to the heroes available within the MCU (which, sadly, means no Wolverine and co.), and no space for secondary comic-book heroes from either company (I'm looking at you, Wonder Man and Plastic Man) who aren't likely to hit the big screen anytime soon.

Other than that, though, each hero has been paired up with a counterpart of roughly equivalent strength or ability, to keep things fair (and to avoid Superman throwing Hawkeye into outer space), and the number of fights has been capped out at 10 (which, sadly, also means there's no space for a certain Wall-Crawler).

Let's begin, then (with DC's big three leading the charge).

First up?

1. Batman vs. Captain America

It's one of the toughest pairings to call - since against almost anyone else, you'd have to think that Captain America's sheer determination would give him the edge. Against Batman, though, who matches a similar drive to a ludicrous level of intellect? That might be another story.

We Say: Batman wins (doesn't he always?), but he'd feel terrible about it.

Who do you think'd win, though?

2. Superman vs. Hulk

Another tough one to call - with the Hulk's raw strength surely being a match for Superman's. While Hulk may well be 'the strongest one there is,' though, Superman is also able to, y'know, fly, and shoot lasers out of his eyes. He's surely got this one.

We Say: Superman (though if we were talking a straight boxing match, The Hulk might stand more of a chance).

3. Wonder Woman vs. Captain Marvel

As far as leading ladies go, they don't come much tougher or more bad-ass than Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel. That being said, though, in a fair fight, Cap's cosmic powers are likely to give her a huge edge over her DC counterpart. Things could have been different ten years ago, though...

We Say: Captain Marvel (through sheer force of awesomeness).

4. Iron Man vs. Green Lantern

As the MCU's biggest name joins the fray, it's arguably tough to see how he could take down the immensely powerful Green Lantern. That, though, misses a crucial point about Tony Stark - much like Batman, and life in the Jurassic Park universe, he always finds a way. Expect to see a suit of Lanternbuster Armor within minutes...

We Say: Iron Man (unless GL cheats and brings the Corps along).

5. Thor vs. Aquaman

In some ways this might seem a less balanced match-up, with the elemental powers of Thor surely being more than a match for Aquaman's more earthly abilities. Which is almost certainly true, but something tells me the King of Atlantis would make this a much closer fight than we'd initially think.

We Say: Thor, but not my as much as you'd imagine.

6. Hawkeye vs. Green Arrow

Possibly the closest call of them all, it's seemingly impossible to separate the greatest archers of two universe's apart. After all, they've both essentially mastered their craft. When it comes down to it, though, you'd have to suspect that Green Arrow might have the edge - if only because he'd likely fight dirty first.

We Say: Green Arrow, by a nose (sorry Clint!).

7. Black Widow vs. Black Canary

Another close call (aren't they all, though?), Black Widow and Black Canary would, of all the heroes here, be perhaps the most likely to go the distance. After all, they're both gifted fighters, and brutal competitors. In the end, though, it's hard to avoid the feeling that Natasha would pull something sneaky, and snatch a win.

We Say: Black Widow (but it'd go the distance).

8. The Flash vs. Quicksilver

Another tough one to call, seeing as the two heroes are their respective universe's 'fastest men alive,' with serious competitive streaks to boot. That being said, Quicksilver's likely to top out before Flash, seeing as he doesn't have access to any kind of Speed Force...

We Say: The Flash (by inches, possibly).

9. Scarlet Witch vs. Martian Manhunter

One of the more unusual match-ups, this one's something of a 50/50. On the one hand, Martian Manhunter certainly has the edge when it comes to experience and raw strength, whereas Scarlet Witch has him beat when it comes to the sheer depth and range of her powers. Ultimately, it's hard to shake the notion that Wanda'd find a way to mess with J'onn's ever-fragile emotional state (probably using fire).

We Say: Scarlet Witch (but she'd have to fight dirty).

10. Cyborg vs. The Vision

Our final contest, and it's once again a tough one. In the half-human, half-robot corner, Cyborg likely has the emotional and psychological edge, while in the synthezoid corner, The Vision has the strength and physical adaptability. Odds are the latter'd win out - especially since The Vision's smart enough to match Cyborg's immense intelligence.

We Say: The Vision (though he'd take no pleasure in it).

Who do you think'd win, though?

All of which means (frantically tallies victors in his head) that Marvel has edged it (6-4) in our reckoning, just as they did back in the mid '90s in DC. vs Marvel.

That, though, is just our opinion - in the end, it's your vote that matters most.

So, you decide:
