Ok,last week I saw another contest post for an alternate fan cast of your choice. But unfortunately my post did not make the cut off date. So, I will give you guys my post anyway of what I think a 1980'S X-Men movie will be like, who will write and direct it and who will star in it. Here we go.....

Director/writer: James Cameron/The Story

I really think if given the chance James Cameron could have written and directed an X-Men movie in maybe 1987. This would be in between his sci-fi masterpiece Aliens and The Abyss. And looking back at this man's resume, how can he not direct it? He has pulled off alot of great films and all of them are groundbreaking in one way or another. He is the perfect candidate to do this movie justice. Hell, at one point he was on Marvel's radar to do a Spider-Man film in the early 90's but backed out of it for some reason. But let's pretend for a moment they were after James to do a interpretation of the X-Men. They meet with him and he pitches a story that impresses the suits and Stan The Man. How could they say no? So they green light it and he takes his time working on the script. He tells a few of the people he has worked with that his next film is X-Men in 1984/1985 for a 1986 release but he lands a gig to direct Aliens instead. So while working on Aliens he writes the script and when Aliens is done, X-Men is ready. Now, I feel that the storyline should be like the first movie. But only some differences. The Brotherhood in this movie consists of Magneto, Sabretooth, Mystique, Toad, Blob, Silver Samurai, Emma Frost, Juggernaut, Scarlet Witch And Quicksilver while the X-Men Team is led by Wolverine, Beast, Colossus, Xavier, Banshee, Angel, Iceman, and new recruits Cyclops, Havok, Shadowcat, Jean Grey, and Nightcrawler. Senator Kelly proposes a Mutant Registration act and Magneto's faction sees it as an act of war between Mutants and humans while Charles, who also does not agree with the Registration Act, tries to make the world see that Mutants are not all that bad and they can coexist and the Act should not be approved. Magneto plans a terrorist attack in Washington but the X-Men stop him just in time. The Brotherhood is rounded up and Magneto tells Charles, just like in the movie that we all know, the war will still come regardless and he still intends to fight against humanity while Xavier says he we always be there to stop him carrying out his threats. Back at the mansion, Xavier splits the X-Men into two groups with Logan leading a team comprised of Colossus, Angela Basset making a cameo as Storm, Nightcrawler, Havok, Shadowcat, Banshee, and Gambit played by newcomer Matthew McConaughey also making a cameo and the second team lead by Cyclops and comprising of Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, and Iceman. Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch are redeemed before the climax and go their separate ways with Scarlett being invited into the Avengers by Nick Fury, played by Sam Elliot and Quicksilver starts a team of young superheros with Spider-Man, played by Rob Lowe, and Daredevil, played by Eric Stoltz. This movie, based on its success, would have started a Marvel Cinematic Universe in the 1980's-1990's with more X-men movies, Avengers, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, etc. And now, off to my choices....
