This is a mix of genres of movies that I grew up watching as a kid, this is my own personal preference, so I hope you enjoy the list. Also you may notice a majority of these movies are based off books. For my next list will be my top 10 movies based of Books.

From New York to Paris, to the largest Pie Fight in Cinema history. This movie is an instant classic that more people need to watch. I know it's an old movie, but the comedy is golden.

2. The Princess Bride, 1987

A very infamous movie that amazing director Rob Reiner produced. I can't go one day without quoting this movie because it was just that awesome. "Are you kidding; fencing, fighting,giants, monsters, torture, revenge, true love, miracles" the Grandfather. This movie was a very amazing and is a must have of every movie shelf there. Also R.I.P Peter Falk and Andre the Giant, you both will be missed greatly.

3. Fly Away Home, 1996

Sometimes we all know Jeff Daniels as Harry Dunn in Dumb and Dumber and Anna Paquin as Rogue in the X Men series. Honestly, I feel this movie was one of the movies you won't want to forget is this one. The score of this movie is amazing, and simply a timeless classic.

This movie, starring Micheal J. Fox, Sally Field, Don Ameche. This movie animal trio will always hold a special place in every pet owner's heart.

5. Cat Ballou, 1965

A timeless Western spoof classic . Notorious outlaw Catherine (Cat) Ballou is one outlaw's story is a must watch for those who haven't seen it.

6. Mrs Doubtfire, 1993

This amazing movie shows the great lengths that a recently divorced Dad will go through just to be with his kids. I know, this movie was sad and depressing also funny. We got to remember never take away the bond between parents and children. R.I.P Robin Williams you were always there to make us laugh, we all miss you.

7. Cry Baby, 1990

This John Waters movie was a rockabilly classic. With Johnny Depp and Amy Locane two lovers of opposite sides. You learn that a supposed rebel can have a heart of gold if given the chance. It's a must see musical that will have songs stuck in your head for months or years for me.

8. Babe, 1995

The timeless classic of Sheep Pig Babe made a way into everyone's heart. I just feel this movie is a timeless classic to share with any age.

9. Balto, 1995

Based of a true story, this movie should and remain to be a timeless classic for everyone.

10 Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
10 Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

With the machine working after a baseball through a window, this movie made us all wish there was Giant Cookies and Giant Lego pieces. This movie is one of Disney's finest achievements with stunning animation for it's time It's an excellent movie.

11. The Aristocats, 1970

While the inheritance goes to the cats, this is one movie that is older but awesome Disney Classic.

12 An American Tail, 1986

Don Bluth you are such a stunning animator and made a permanent imprint on my childhood. This movie is an a amazing story about a mouse looking for his family after migrating from Russia to America. This movie shows the unbreakable bond between family, as well as friendships can be formed by the most diverse of characters. Young Fievel befriends a cat named Tiger.

13 101 Dalmatians, 1961
13 101 Dalmatians, 1961

This timeless Disney classic made every kid want a dalmatian when growing up. To this day it is a classic that can be watched 101 times over again and still be awesome. (sorry for the bad pun)

14 The Secret of Nimh, 1982

The crowning stone of Don Bluth's finest animated movie...no wait every Don Bluth movie is amazing. This movie shows how much unconditional love a mother has for her young ones. This is a must see for everyone, even though some parts are rather scary it's still a classic to treasure.

15 Dennis the Menace

This movie is a timeless classic that shows how menacing can turn into the most unlikely hero. I strongly recommend this menacing comedy to everyone. (again, I'm sorry for the bad puns)

16 Hook, 1994

This is a timeless spectacle that enlightened the infamous what if...Peter Pan grew up. Played by amazing late actor Robin Williams, this movie with Speilberg's movie magic this remains to be a movie to always treasure. You do grow up but don't let the imagination in you die when you do.

This movie was a timeless classic for every Pokemon fan out there. If you liked the show, then watch this amazing classic.

18. the Mask, 1994

This fun filled comic book character is brought to life than none other than Jim Carrey. This movie is a comedy that will have you laughing so hard. Also I believe this movie was Cameron Diaz's first starring role that later launched her career.

19. Walt Disney's the Lion King 1994

Of course the most nostalgic Disney classic that everyone knows and probably knows every song by heart to. Hakuna Matata everyone.

Lastly, this is spin off of Disney's take on the Notorious outlaw who became an inlaw.
