All's been quiet on the Civil War front recently, with Marvel keeping rather schtum on their tentpole 2016 release, Captain America 3. That was until this explosive video leaked out from the set of the hotly anticipated blockbuster, revealing a rather breathtaking practical stunt involving a huge, concrete-blasting truck crash.

Toasted Towelie had a perfect view of the flippin' insane scene, capturing the street-level destruction from a nearby apartment window. Check it out below:

Pretty impressive, huh? And check out these passersby as they survey the aftermath:

It's great to see Marvel aren't falling back on wholly CGI set-pieces - the heavy reliance on computer effects endowed Age of Ultron's action scenes with a sense of 'weightlessness,' in my opinion. This, on the other hand, looks like some good old fashioned visceral carnage!

What can we learn about Civil War's plot?

Well, though this scene was being filmed on location in Atlanta, Georgia, it appears to be set on the other side of the world. If you take a look at the continent depicted on the sign above, this 'IFID' place seems to be located in Africa.

It's still unclear what role the fictional 'Institute for Infectious Diseases' will play in the film, but perhaps it has something to do with confirmed villain Baron Zemo. The debates surrounding the controversial Superhero Registration Act erupting in the US would provide the perfect distraction for the hatching of some nefarious, deadly-virus-related plans in Africa.

Fans have also been speculating that this setting could tie in with Black Panther - who has also been confirmed for the movie - and his Marvel debut, since he hails from the fictional African nation of Wakanda.

As things continue to heat up on the set of Civil War, I continue to wait in agony for its faraway release date! Though if this footage is anything to go by, it'll absolutely be worth the wait...

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters May 6, 2016.
