Batman is one of the most popular and iconic superheroes. He is personally my favorite superhero. He is most known for not having powers, the Bat Cave, and the Joker. But there are some things that you don't know about him. So I have the most mind blowing facts you didn't know.

10) He used to kill criminals

Even though he is known for not killing criminals, he did much of it in his first 30 years of Batman comics.

9) He beat Darkseid by himself

Yes, Darkseid may have killed Batman once, but he recently went to Apokalips with a special Batsuit and gave Darkseid a whooping. Showing us that even though he has no powers, he is just as tough as any other hero.

8) He used to use guns

Even though he swore to never use guns after his death, he killed a man with a machine gun in Batman #1.

7) Robin was only supposed to appear once

Even though we think of Robin when we here sidekick, he was only supposed to make one appearance. But when the sales sky rocketed after the comic's release, he became a regular.

6) Frank Sinatra wanted to play the Joker

Yes...Frank Sinatra wanted the play the Dark Knight's arch nemesis in the 1960's Batman television series. Enough said...

5) Fans voted for Jason Todd's death

Fans voted if the Boy Wonder would live or die, when Todd was trapped in a warehouse where only Batman would save him. They used a toll free hotline and voted. It ended up being 5343 for his death, and 5271 against.

4) Bruce Wayne started his career as Batman at 25

Unlike Marvel, the DC universe has rebooted many times. But the New 52 has established that he started his career at the ripe age of 25.

3) It takes 300 million dollars to become Batman

Experts have said that being Batman would take anywhere from 300 million to 1 billion. Either way it aint cheap being Batman.

2) He used to look a lot different

The original idea for Batman was very different than the idea that we have for him now. He had blond hair and a red costume.

1) He once merged with Wolverine

In a rare crossover between Marvel and DC, they merged Batman and Wolverine. Making Logan Wayne, or Dark Claw. They combined the origin story and made a very different story.
