Upon it's release in October 2004, San Andreas was acclaimed by many game critics who praised the music, story and gameplay. Having only been out for just two months of the year, It still managed to become the best-selling video game of 2004, and since has sold over 27 million copies while also remaining the best-selling PlayStation 2 game of all time. The game, like its predecessors, is cited as a landmark in video games for its far-reaching influence within the industry.

In a time where hundreds of video games are being turned into major motion pictures (Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, and World of Warcraft to name a few), The Grand Theft Auto series has been surprisingly quiet. Maybe it's because of the very poorly received film adaptation of Rockstar's hit series, "Max Payne", which has lead to the unwillingness to allow a feature film to be made, or maybe it's just the fact that writer's don't know how to make a Grand Theft Auto movie. Some fans got excited very briefly when it was first announced that a feature film called "San Andreas" featuring the Rock was being made, before they very quickly found out that it was a natural disaster movie ala "Day After Tomorrow".

However, thanks to the glory of editing and Youtube, a trailer now exists on what an actual "GTA:San Andreas" film could look like. Featuring Clips from various films from the Rock(with Different Hairstyles/Facial Hair, which is a play on creating your own look for CJ on GTASA) and other films like "Iron Man", "Straight Outta Compton" and yes, "San Andreas". Watching the original Game Trailer, back to back with this reveals that at times, it is a living shot-for-shot recreation of the game trailer.

Here is the original game trailer:
