If you have been following up on Star Wars Battlefront (like me), then you know that the gameplay videos are based on Hoth and Tatooine. Also, you know that there will be Team Deathmatch, Survival, Co-op Missions, and other game modes. Plus, you know that the main Heroes and Villains at the moment are Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Boba Fett. However, there is one thing that you may not know, and it is something that had been wondering:

Why isn't there anything shown based on the prequel trilogy?

I understand that the prequel trilogy is not as good as the original trilogy, but it was pretty good in Star Wars: Battlefront II. Also, whether we like it or not, it has a place in the Star Wars canon. Plus, I believe that the prequel movies are pretty good. Not as good as the original trilogy, but still pretty good.

Since I wanted to know the answer to the question myself, I took my question to EA Star Wars on Twitter, leaving them the following tweet:

Four hours later I received a response, which not only answered my question, but also gave me mixed feelings:

Since Star Wars Battlefront has already put a lot of focus on the original trilogy, based on the tweet, we now know for sure that it will be based only on the original trilogy.

So how should we react to this? Is this a bad thing or a good thing? While I am glad that Star Wars Battlefront will have a thematic focus on the Rebellion and the Empire (since that aspect of Star Wars is the best), I am also disappointed that I won't be able to play as a clone trooper or as a droideka anymore.

Anyway, I've said my opinions. Now for yours:

What do you think? Are you glad that Star Wars Battlefront will not incorporate the prequel trilogy?
