"He ... shook my hand and said 'Goodbye, Doctor. Hope to see you again in the future, or the past'."
-The Doktor Dokka

A Jack-of-all-Trades, The Doktor Dokka is a complex combination of everything that makes Cosplay an everyman event.
Whether it's being engaged as a photographer, attending every local convention under the Sun, or even working as a model: The Doktor will be there.

What's your best cosplay moment so far?

The Doktor Dokka
When I tend to go out to an event that isn't Con related I always get likened to 'The Doctor'. It might be the suit with the red coat that does it. I love how it gives me confidence to talk to people...
Almost like Jim Carrey in 'The Mask'!

Have you been approached filmmakers?

The Doktor Dokka
Not really. Been in one or two of those music video things you see being made at Cons, but they are always a group deal.
I have been in a music video though, but I had a paper bag on my head (don't ask).

Have you ever been recognized out of "uniform"?

The Doktor Dokka
It can be strange to walk down the street in my casual gear and bump into a cosplay friend. They tend to only see me as the characters I dress as (of which I think comes down to the acting side of it as well as the outfit). Recently I went to Devcon in Plymouth as Louise from Bob's Burgers. I came across one of the organizers the day after in the street and they had to do a double take

What's your best personal nerdgasm story?

The Doktor Dokka
It's gotta be a cross between meeting [Simon Bamford] who played Butterball in Hellraiser and the time I met Jeremy Bulloch.
With the first case he told me loads of cool facts about the first film and even had a copy of the original script with him.
Mr. Bullock on the other hand was when I was just starting out on the scene. I had gone to a small convention in Devon and was their as the photographer for the event. Jeremy was the special guest so we got to chat a few times about his work on Doctor Who. I was in my usual garb (Red coat, trilby hat, big purple jeans) so had a spot of the Timelord about me. At the end of the day I went to say my goodbye's to him. He couldn't remember my name so instead shook my hand and said "Goodbye, Doctor. Hope to see you again in the future, or the past".
I walked away a very happy camper!
