The trailer for director and co-writer Eli Roth’s new movie Knock Knock sure looks juicy. In his words the film is all about:
"A married man left alone for the weekend is visited by two beautiful girls. What starts as a dark fantasy escalates into a horrific nightmare."
Judging from the trailer, this film looks like it will be a psychological thriller rather than just relying on being a film full of shock, blood and gore, demonstrated by Roth's previous films Hostel and Cabin Fever. The film's main man is Evan Webber played by Keanu Reeves, he is a married man with children who loves life.
But after answering the door to two young women his whole life gets pulled apart at the seam and things turn into a twisted nightmare for him.
Here's where it all begins. By opening this door Evan decides his fate and the insane storyline starts rolling:

The director has set himself a challenge to surprise his audience, old and new, which he revealed in an interview with Indiewire:
"I know what people expect from me and in some ways I will deliver that but this is a different type of film for me. I also want people to fall in love with the cast. Lorenza Izzo and Ana De Armas are incredible new faces, and Keanu Reeves has never been better. He gives a superb performance. I think people are going to love him in this."
Take a look at the poster which really reveals a lot about the film's scenario and what is about to go down:
I like how revealing the poster is but it still leaves its audience asking questions.
It will be fantastic to see Keanu Reeves taking on a character who is far from any role he has portrayed before. There is no doubt that whenever Eli Roth creates a film, that it brings up a storm with its audience. Eli Roth has a reputation for getting his audience feeling uneasy and I think he will have everyone on the edge of their seats with this one.
The film will be released on October 9th, 2015. In case you do not want to wait that long for your Eli Roth dose of horror, you should check out The Green Inferno. His cannibal movie will hit theatres on September 25, 2015 two weeks before the Keanu Reeves movie starts.
