NBC will not be renewing 'Hannibal' for a fourth season.
The critically acclaimed series was not receiving the necessary viewership for the fourth season to be viable. The network will air the remainder of the third season in its 10pm Thursday time slot.
“NBC has allowed us to craft a television series that no other broadcast network would have dared, and kept us on the air for three seasons despite Cancellation Bear Chow ratings and images that would have shredded the eyeballs of lesser Standards & Practices enforcers,” said Bryan Fuller 'Hannibal' creator. “Hannibal is finishing his last course at NBC’s table this summer, but a hungry cannibal can always dine again. And personally, I look forward to my next meal with NBC.”
Many speculate that 'Hannibal' will be picked up by another network, or possible even an online service.
