When starting your career as an actor, you can't be picky. You sometimes have to take on some roles you probably aren't too keen on doing, like a tampon commercial, acting in a silly Disney kid's show, or maybe portraying a stripper clown on acid who also has a weird obsession with cardboard in some obscure indie film.
Again, you have to start somewhere, right?
So did the cast of Twilight. You will never believe what some of their earlier work entailed. But it doesn't matter in the end, as they worked so hard to finally reach an impressive level of success.
1. Robert Pattinson
Pattinson first worked as a model. While black and white are two of my favorite colors, you have to admit that just wearing a scarf and nothing else has never become quite the staple in anyone's wardrobes.
2. Kristen Stewart
Just check out that haircut. It screams the '90s/early 2000s. I believe Jonathan Taylor Thomas had that haircut, as well as any boy during that era. One of Stewart's earlier roles was in the film The Safety of Objects, and I can't believe how young she looks here.
3. Taylor Lautner
No look tops matching your spiky hair with your spiky teeth. Taylor Lautner played the role of Sharkboy in the 2005 film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl. The story takes place in a made up land called 'Planet Drool,' where Sharkboy and Lavagirl save the world from the evil Mr. Electricidad.
It must have taken a lot of imagination to come up with that plot...
I don't know many kids with a six pack at the age of 12. But I am laughing from those hilarious Von Dutch pants and typical spiky hairstyle from the early 2000s.
4. Kellan Lutz
Kellan Lutz appeared in the 2006 film Stick It, in which he appeared in makeup and some cute pink clips. It's bound to happen when you hang out with your gymnast girl friends.
5. Peter Facinelli
Before his role as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, Facinelli first role was of Lucifer in a movie called Angela in 1995. Yes, he was covered in white makeup. And yes, he had hooves instead of feet.
Like I said, we have to start somewhere, and getting your foot through the door in Hollywood isn't an easy feat.
And I am sure these actors look back on their earlier work with an embarrassed smile on their face, much like we look back at our middle school and high school photos and laugh at the terrible fashion and hair choices we made.
