I remember when I drove to San Diego last year with my friend to attend a Warpaint concert, only to have LOLAWOLF open for them. And then I discovered Zoë Kravitz is a total babe who can really sing. I also discovered that evening that I have a raging crush on this super dynamic artist.
As humble as Zoë Kravitz is, and as much as she may shy away from the word, she is the "It" girl. She's multi-talented, she's hard-working, and did I mention she is absolutely stunning?
It's exactly because of this that Zoë is included in our list of "Stars to Watch," the first issue of Moviepilot Magazine, featuring guest contributions from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ridley Scott and Damon Lindelof.
I suppose being this gorgeous is the outcome when your father is none other than Lenny Kravitz. But don't get it twisted: although there are several similarities between this father and daughter duo, this girl holds her own completely.
But as they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And who wouldn't want to fall from a kickass, rocking, stylish, attractive tree?
1. They both have an impeccable sense of style.
I would honestly wear both outfits. This rocker, bohemian chic look is totally up my alley. Now, if only I had access to their closets...
2. They both have famous friends you wish you could hang with.
I can't even imagine what it would be to have a posse consisting of some of the coolest celebs of our time. Leonardo DiCaprio? Nicole Ritchie? I can't even imagine how fun a hangout with this group would be.
3. They both have intense musical talents.
They both move so comfortably on stage. Zoë has really proven herself with her vocals in her band LOLAWOLF. Lenny, of course, is known for his abilities on the guitar as well as his famously powerful vocals.
Check out their music videos below:
"Calm Down" by LOLAWOLF
"American Woman" by Lenny Kravitz
4. They are both skilled actors.
Zoë has appeared in such productions as No Reservations, Californication, the Divergent series, Mad Max: Fury Road, the X-Men series among many more. I know I'm not the only person who was severely depressed when her character was killed off in X-Men: First Class.
You can find Lenny transform on the screen in a myriad of productions, including The Hunger Games series, Glee, Precious, and Selma just to name a few.
Make sure to check Zoë in Viena and the Fantomes, which will be released later this year, as well as The Divergent Series: Allegiant – Part 1 which, which will be available next year.
5. They both have killer tattoos.
I am a huge fan of the dainty, yet badass tattoos Zoë has sprinkled on her body, including an anchor, bird, and a topless mermaid. Lenny's left pec features a fierce dragon, and his other arm includes a really unique looking cross. Now I'm itching to get ink soon!
6. They both look phenomenal in scarves.
The scarf can make for an excellent accessory to really tie any look together. Sure, Lenny's may be a lot bigger. But bigger is not always better.
7. They are both half Eastern European Jew, Half African American.
This gorgeous mix of Russian/Ukranian Jew and African American made for some stunning features, including beautiful skin, adorable freckles, luscious hair, and cheekbones to absolutely die for. Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz sure made one beautiful daughter!
8. They can both pull off any hairstyle.
These hairdos are incredibly creative and unique. They're not looks just anybody can pull off, but rather reserved for the bold and edgy.
9. They are both super good looking.
I would kill for their facial structures. Their high cheekbones and perfectly sculpted chins is more than anyone, including myself, can handle.
Keep shining, Zoe. Your music makes me groove, I want to raid your closet, and I would kill to act with you in a film. Just writing this article alone made my girl crush increase tenfold.
More or less, just shake what your daddy gave ya.
