Our friends over at Latino Review have been informed that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are indeed looking to release a solo Batman movie into the DC Cinematic Universe. This rumor has been floating around for a while now, but it looks like a few more tidbits regarding the project have finally come to light.
Apparently, Ben Affleck, who will next be seen in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will pull double duty on the film, which is believed to be entitled The Batman. Affleck is said to be starring in the solo flick, and serving as director.
Additionally, Latino Review reports that Chris Terrio, who took over screenwriting duties on Batman v Superman from David S. Goyer, is also penning the script for The Batman. If this is the case, given that Terrio is also writing the scripts for both Justice League movies, he`s sure to have his plate full over the next little while.
Warner Bros. is said to be targeting a November 2018 release date for the movie, putting it in competition with Marvel`s female-led superhero flick Captain Marvel.
