Just last week, a man named Seth sent in around 2,240 bottle caps to Bethesda, the developers of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, and publishers of Fallout: New Vegas. Seth didn't know what to expect back from Bethesda, if anything at all. He and the rest of the world began patiently waiting, and crossing our fingers to see if Bethesda would act on his offer.

Earlier today, Matt Grandstaff, the Global Community Lead at Bethesda, posted a picture of Seth's bottle caps, and joked (or perhaps he was really being serious?) that his office now smelled like beer.

And then just a few hours ago, Seth posted an update on Imgur saying that it's official: Bethesda will be sending him a pre-order of Fallout 4! But before you get too excited and send in your life time's savings, Seth said that it was only because he was the first one to do this.

He told me since I was the first person to do this, I would be receiving a copy of the game this November, and that he would be running my caps over to deposit them at the People's Bank of Point Lookout. Which if you don't remember, is this...

Seth concluded the post with a public "thank you," saying:

Anyway, I just wanted to say "thank you" to everyone who helped in making this happen. People were simultaneously worried about my rate of drinking (I'm fine, thanks), and were also disappointed in my lack of drinking (I'm fine, thanks). Someone on Imgur even offered to gift me a copy of the game if I didn't get one. So thanks again everyone!

This was an incredibly cool thing for Bethesda to do, and just makes me love them even more! I can't even express how awesome this is! Good on you, Bethesda! And enjoy the game, Seth!
