I JUST found out about Shia LaBeouf's motivational film TODAY, June 25, 2015. I don't know how I missed it. What I didn't miss, though, was that The Beef put his head through a plate glass window yesterday.

According to the Guardian, Shia was on the set of American Honey when he miscalculated where is face should be on a stunt. He ended up with several gashes, lots of stitches, and some staples.

One of the most shocking things about LaBeouf's head injury is that it occurred long after the motivational video was released, so we still don't have a logical explanation for why the video was made. One of the most shocking things about the motivational video (besides it's existence) is that thing hanging off the side of his head. It appears to be a rattail.

The Daily Mail reported in April that the hairy thing was, in fact, a rattail.

In case you are under the age of 30 (which I'm not), a rattail is a hairstyle made famous in the 1980's when men who had long hair left over from the 1970's couldn't commit to cutting it all off. They left a chunk long at the back, resembling the tail of a rat. The hairstyle was common with men who also pierced their ears on the left, non-gay side only (see photo below).

Some people took the "tail of a rat" thing very far.

Shia is reportedly feeling fine, and is expected to return to work today.
