Mild Spoilers (For those who haven't seen it yet, even though it came out in 2003. -__- | Also for those who haven't seen Netflix's Daredevil series.)

There is know hiding that this, along with quite a few of the films from the original MCU is one of the worst films ever! Or is it?

It's true that the theatrical cut of this movie is nothing more than a complete shambles, however, the director's cut of the film makes up for it and really shows that Mark Steven Johnson really did know what he was doing. This cut of the film was about 30 minuets longer than the original and it really did pull together in the end. The end of the film's story ended strangely like the first season of Netflix's Daredevil, with Fisk locked up, except in Johnson's version Fisk's prison outfit is orange rather than white.

Speaking of Netflix's Daredevil.. I can't review this film without cross referencing. The casting for the film was weird to me. Maybe it's because I'm so use to the Daredevil casting in the new MCU. I think they all did great jobs of playing the characters, they didn't seem right. Ben Affleck was a good Daredevil but to me, Charlie Cox is the true Daredevil.

Although some people say that the pacing of the director's cut was slow in some places, I disagree as I feel that the pacing was fine compared to the theatrical cut, which, for me, was too fast and seemed rushed, whereas, the director's cut seemed more padded out and made more sense. (Story wise)

The wardrobe for the film was awful, for Affleck anyway. His suits seemed way to big for him and his hair looked as if he just crawled out of bed.

His Daredevil outfit however, was very comic book accurate and looked badass! He looked like he did in those 90s Spider-Man cartoons but in real life, this was like a childhood dream come true. They did a very good job on that one.

For people who haven't seen Daredevil yet I definitely recommend the Director's cut over the theatrical cut. There is much more story to it and it takes a terrible movie and makes it just a bad movie. But don't be thrown off by these harsh words because I did enjoy the film overall and hey, let's face it, okay sure it's not the greatest movie in the world, but it sure isn't the worst, because the theatrical cut is. In all seriousness, if you are going to buy this film, buy the director's cut because it the best version of this film.
