E3 had plenty of surprises in store for a great deal of fans. But one aspect of E3 that is rarely focused upon is its indie games. Of course, if a show unveils a Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the fact that Shenmue 3 will be a thing, it can be hard to recall the little yarn figure that ran about on stage at Microsoft's conference. But with the quality of games coming our way, these 3 indie titles are games to watch!

But there's one problem with them - we've no idea when they're going to arrive! No Man's Sky is supposed to get a 2015 release date from Hello Games, but we could see it become Sony's launch title for Project Morpheus in 2016. Cuphead, one of my most anticipated games for the XBOX One, is said to receive a 2016 release date, whereas Unravel doesn't have a projected date. But let's take a look at the 3 imminent indie games I'm most excited for and as always, I'd love to hear what yours are along with them!

3 Indie Games We Need A Release Date For

With the likes of Everyone's Gone to the Rapture, the beautiful ABZU and the intriguing Night in the Woods, there are so many indie games on the way for console owners. Picking between them can often be difficult, be these are three games that I simply have to try on their release dates!

I know I'm not alone when I say that this guy is adorable. The lead developer on Unravel arrived on the E3 stage, literally shacking with stage fright and managed to win so many hearts with his genuinely beautiful little game called, Unravel. Yarny, the protagonist of this little art piece, will slowly begin to lose the thread he's made of as he makes his way through his metaphorical life.

The game is supposed to be a representation of the threads we make in our lives and the impact we make on our surroundings. It's a really interesting idea, and I hope that the gameplay can compete with the art design and charm of Yarny.

When I first saw Cuphead back in 2014, with its teasing 30 second trailer at E3, I knew I had to have it. Its art design is inspired by traditional Disney animation and American cartoons from the 1930s. The game even has authentic film grain throughout its campaign. I can't wait to get my hands on this Xbox One exclusive. Cuphead really needs a release date and they have to stop teasing us with these tiny trailers! MORE FOOTAGE!

No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky is one of the most anticipated games of 2015 - that is if it actually arrives on the PS4 this year. With an offering of literally billions of planets to explore, gamers can't wait to start naming their own worlds. We have extremely high expectations for Hello Games to offer us a space adventure we've always dreamt of. The game already has a tremendous following in the industry, with tons of fans who are dying to actually get their hands on PS4 and PC exclusive. Will Paris Games Week grant us what we desire?

So these are my three indie games that I can't wait to try following E3 2015. We'd love to hear what you think of these titles and what exactly you're dying to try in the sphere of indie games!

Which of these three are you most excited for?
