I started watching Wayward Pines this past week and I have to say I am incredibly impressed by it. Which is something I don't say often with most TV shows on air today.

The first couple of episodes are a tad slow but still have that wonderful eerie, possibly all an hallucination, feel to it. Something I love to have in TV shows. It pulls you in to figure out if anything is real at all.

Matt Dillion being his usual hard-headed manly-man self does actually very well in this role.

The whole idea being this series is something that fascinates me greatly. How will our world be in the future? We sure as hell didn't get those hover-boards or instant pizzas from "Back to the Future', not yet anyway.

So for those of you looking for something to tide you over until both Twin Peaks and X-Files come back with their new seasons I urge you to watch this show. It will quench that thirst for something mysterious, other-worldly and just plain enticing to watch.

New Episodes air Thursdays at 9/8C
