The follow up subsrciption box from Marvel and Funko has arrived. Two months after their stellar debut with an Avengers themed box ( and a super-sized Hulkbuster ! ) we look to see if their second box continues to be worth the money and the waiting. Obviously, there are spoilers ahead.

First impression, the box is noticeably smaller because there is not a over sized Funko this time, not that there is anything wrong with that... more on the figure itself later.

Upon opening the box we get a new patch and pin set. The pin is great but the patch doesn't look to be as well made. The eyes to me seem to suggest Ant-Man just suffered a cartoonish head injury.

Those eyes just don't seem right on the patch.

Opening the box I get to see my exclusive Ant-Man Pop and it is awesome. This item alone makes the box worthwhile. Not only is it a great unmasked Scott Lang but it contains the smallest Funko yet. Totally unique and totally awesome.

It's just so tiny !

Add to the Funko pile we get two mystery minis. This was a very fun part of the box. I liked the unknown aspect. I got another unmasked Ant-Man and a YellowJacket. I am very impressed with the quality and detail on YellowJacket, the Ant-Man figure I would give a 6 out of 10

Scott see's something familiar.

Now the shirt.

As an Ant-Man fan I love it. I could do with out the additional Funko advertising on the sleeve but it's easy to forgive. I do think that non fans might not be happy with the shirt since it's a bit obtuse but all in all it's a good shirt.

So, it's definitely too late to change the name

Finally, the comic. It's issue number five of the very brief Ant-Man series with a Collector Corp exclusive variant cover. The cover is largely unimpressive. Not bad, but not great artwork. My number one complaint and the only reason this box isn't getting a 10/10 is that the comic wasn't packaged with a bag and board. While Marvel has addressed the issue and will correct future packages it is disappointing to collectors not to have something pristine delivered.

All in all I am very happy with this box. I know Marvel listens to fans and we will continue to see awesome boxes in the future.
