To use comic book lovers we understand why batman is on the Justice League. His tactical mind is unmatched, detective skills unlike another, and he is the god-damn batman. However, to those who are unfamiliar with the justice league and why he is on the team will wonder why a mere man is on a team of practical gods. What does Batman have to offer against a fight against Darkseid? Well here are 5 ways batman must be in order to prove to non-comic lovers why he deserves to be on the justice league.
Sure everyone knows Bruce Wayne is wealthy, but they need to know that the other heroes on this team don't have a billion dollars at their disposal to fund a giant satellite in outer space. I mean, superman only makes a reporters salary. Zack Snyder needs to make it perfectly clear how Batman funds the team out of his pocket to help it become the biggest force in the universe.
We know Batman will break out the Superman-buster armor in Dawn of Justice, but he has numerous other gadgets and weapons that level the playing field against stronger opponents. While is bat mobile and batwing will make a appearance in Dawn of Justice we need to see Bruce Wayne genius intellect in action as he creates more weapons to use against forces like a parademon. Gadgets I would like to see the most are the electroshock gloves, explosive gel, and Batman using the superman-buster armor against darkseid.
Batman may have lost his parents (and not have any siblings?) but he has surrounded himself with incredibly capable fighting children. Those include Nightwing, the multiple other robins, batgirl who then turns into oracle, and the antihero sometimes turned hero catwoman. While we hope to see beginnings of the family in Dawn of Justice, but the family is so important to the batman mythos because it shows Batman is a capable trainer and leader of mostly troubled children. While family would not likely see action in the Justice League to be Batman's "back-up plan" audiences would see Batman as a...
Sadly without the Martian Manhunter (who ran the team in the DCAU), Batman is the only person announced on the Justice League cast with any tactical expertise. Batman in the DCCU needs to show of those leadership skills and combat expertise by being the glue that holds the league together. Jon Stewart may fill this role if he is cast, because Batman is often reluctant to be the leader of such a powerful team. However, we need to see him formulate plans and actually execute them, to show how without him the Justice League would cause all sorts of destruction and innocent deaths. It is important for Ben Affleck to convey a calculated mind-set where he is always 2 steps ahead of the game.
1. BADASS FIGHTER
Every Batman movie has had terrible fight choreography. While I didn't expect the earlier Batman movies to have great fight scenes due to the time they came out and the advancements in technology since then I expected the Nolan trilogy to be different. However, to much of my pleasure, the trilogy focused on realism and relied on story and characters over over-the-top CGI fight scenes. Zack Snyder needs to through that realism out the window. Yes, focus on the story and characters than relying on fight scenes (cough cough Man of Steel), however that stiff fighting in the Nolanverse needs to be replace with the Batman we expect to see. We need to see the Batman who can dodge Darkseids omega beams, who can bench press 1000 pounds, and knows every fighting style in the world. Look at any Batman animated movie and that is how he should look. Luckily the fight choreographer has said that the fighter will be more like what we expect so good signs on that end.
I have faith Zack Snyder knows what Batman is like in the comics and how he needs to translate onto the big screen. However, most incarnation of The Dark Knight have on 2 of five things i just listed whereas Ben Affleck needs all of them in order for things to go right for the DCCU.
