The Harry Potter universe is a bubbling cauldron of intricate details so it's easy to overlook some of the awesome Easter Eggs and homages woven into the fabric of the iconic movies, despite their significance.

Tumblr user Ravenclaw-enfp recently stumbled across one of these hidden homages, and it gives an adrenaline-fueled scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 so much more meaning.

First, watch the two minute scene of Harry, Hermione and Ron battling their way through seemingly random foes and see if you notice what's going on with the enemies:

First there's a giant ogre smashing up the joint with a giant pole...

...who looks suspiciously like this monstrous troll from the girls' toilet in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Then our heroic trio clashes with a horde of gigantic spiders...

...just like Harry and Ron's arachnophobic encounter in The Chamber of Secrets.

As if enormous arachnids weren't enough, the Potter crew then stumbles upon a werewolf devouring Lavender Brown...

...could this possibly be a reference to the werewolf encounter the gang had with a turned professor Lupin in The Prisoner of Azkaban?

Harry, Hermione and Ron are then caught amidst an explosion of Dementors...

...who also star in the opening scene of The Order of the Phoenix

After referencing the epic trials and tribulations Harry, Hermione and Ron faced in the first three Harry Potter movies, the latter part of The Deathly Hallows - Part 2 also introduces us to the Order of the Phoenix and reveals the true nature of The Half Blood Prince once and for all.

First we see the Order of the Phoenix fighting for their lives in the Battle of Hogwarts...

...and finally we got to see into Snape (The Half Blood Prince)'s memories

Which brings the whole Harry Potter story full circle in just a few short minutes.

The events that take place in the video at the top of this article have particular significance, though.

In just two minutes, Harry, Hermione and Ron blast through enemies that would have previously been both difficult and terrifying for them to defeat. This scene shows us how much the heroic Hogwarts trio has grown before putting them in the biggest battle they will ever have to face.

Are you enthralled by this truly magical homage?
