We've all made mistakes, and sometimes it seems our big mouths work more quickly than our slightly lagging brains. I was actually guilty of that this past weekend myself.
While attending the Ant-Man press event, Kevin Feig accidentally uttered the second film's title of Guardians of the Galaxy, which director/writer James Gunn immediately found hilarious.
I think James Gunn needs to change his last name to Funn, because he's one good sport about this unintended slip.
Curious as to what the sequel will be called? Apparently some fans actually guessed correctly. I am already excited for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2!
And yes, he's 100% serious, in case you thought he was being facetious.
The soundtrack plays an elemental role itself in the film, and the title is an homage to the Awesome Mix Vol. 1 Peter Quill listens to in the first Guardians film. So just as we waited patiently for all the NOW mixes back in the '90s, we should get ourselves pumped for a possible Awesome Mix Vol. 2 to amplify this upcoming sequel.
Remember this funny bit?
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 comes to theaters May 5, 2017, which may seem like galaxies away. But be patient, my friends. Jam out to Vol. 1 to help pacify you in the meantime. I know I will be doing just that.
