In volume one, Lex Luthor was put in a fight against Norman Osborn and Bullseye fought Green Arrow. This week, I am going to take two of everyone's favorite playboy billionaires and box office juggernauts Iron Man versus Batman and see how they would fight one another. After that, we have the King of the seas and ruler of Atlantis Aquaman facing off against the man who hated the Hulk so much he became a Hulk to beat him, the Red Hulk. Let's get to it.

Batman v.s. Iron Man

This seemed like the obvious choice for me. Both men were orphaned and were left with a boat load of money by their parents. Both are billionaires who have taken their money and dedicated their lives to finding a way to make the world a safer place for everyone. Both are geniuses that live a playboy esqe life. Well, Tony Stark lives that life to the fullest while Bruce Wayne does it to keep up appearances when he needs the public to believe his alter ego lifestyle. Iron Man loves to show off tell people how great and smart he is. Batman is the exact opposite.

Batman lets his skill and actions speak for themselves. He knows what he can do and knows how good he is and doesn't have to tell people how good he is because people already know. Bruce Wayne is also a master in many forms of martial arts and there are very few people in DC or Marvel that can match Batman in hand to hand combat let alone beat him. Stark isn't much of a fighter. Stark spends all of his time upgrading his tech. Since Stark almost always has a back up for his back up, it's very rare that Stark is without his armor or the means to fix it. Even his Mark 2 armor, while old, is a force to be reckoned. This could be the match of the ages. This becomes a matter of who's planning is better.

How Iron Man Wins:

This Iron Man without a conscience
This Iron Man without a conscience
"I'm the most intelligent, capable person on the planet. I'm not playing God. All this time... I've been playing human. I've been doing this for you. For all of you. I have wasted so much time. So much energy. To look like you — to sound like you — so that you specks feel comfortable around me."-Tony Stark

During the Marvel Civil War, Iron Man gave Captain America a beating like he had never been given before. Stark's armor has seen every move Captain America has ever made, analyzed them, and created a counter attack. Captain America didn't stand a chance against a machine that knew his every move before he did. Knowing Iron Man, he would have done his research on Batman and did to him what he did to Cap. Stark's Iron Man armor is easily the most advanced fighting machine in comics so it wouldn't take much for his armor to find every fight Batman has ever had and maybe even tap into the Justice League computer and the Batcave. If that happens, there's nothing Batman can do. Especially if Batman runs into the "Superior" Iron Man who has no conscience and feels he's better than all of humanity.

How Batman Wins:

"Open your eyes. Look into the darkness... as the darkness looks into you. That man you killed -- he had a family, people who cared for him. Do you, punk? Will anyone care? Will anyone... miss you?"- Bruce Wayne

As simple as it sounds, he's Batman. Batman is one of maybe four or five comic book characters that has an answer to everything and everyone. Example, in "JLA Tower of Babel" someone hacked into Batman's computer files and came across Batman's plans on how to defeat each member of the Justice League. If not for Batman, this plan would have killed every member of the Justice League including Superman.

There's no way Batman doesn't have a just in case plan for Tony Stark. Since Iron Man's identity is public knowledge, Batman will probably beat Iron Man before he even puts on the cape and cowl. Bruce Wayne could easily find a way to get into Stark Industries and maybe the Avenger's tower and plant something in Iron Man's armor the same way the Skrulls did. Iron Man will eventually lose once Stark is out of his armor or has to fight in his armor without the knowledge of how Batman fights. Even if this isn't the case, Batman almost certainly has moves that he hasn't used yet. If Iron Man can't predict Batman's fighting style, Iron Man can't beat Batman.

Red Hulk versus Aquaman

Unlike the first few matches, these two combatants don't have anything in common other than being leaders. Aquaman is the King of Atlantis and would often (if not always) lead his warriors into battle. Red Hulk (Rulk) as Thaddeus Ross was a general in the United States military and as Red Hulk, Ross has lead his team of Thunderbolts. That is pretty much where the similarities stop. Aqua Man is one of the most underrated comic book characters ever.

People hear that he talks to fish and think that it's lame and that is his only power. That would be completely wrong. Besides the fact that being able to order a school of sharks to attack you is pretty bad-@$$, there's also the mythical beast the kraken he also commands. Aquaman is also as strong as Namor and Namor can trade punches with the Incredible Hulk. Red Hulk is also more than just a red hulk. Red Hulk may not keep getting stronger the madder he gets, but he is also in the major league when it comes to strength. For all of Rulk's strength, his military mind is what makes him so dangerous. Rulk isn't above using a gun or other weapons to win a fight. He knows that it takes more than just pure brute strength to win fights, so he uses his smarts more than his strength to win his battles.

How does Red Hulk Win:

Super strength and not afraid to use a gun.
Super strength and not afraid to use a gun.
"Son, I didn't get these Stars by being somewhere else when the spit hit the fan!"-Thaddeus Ross

Red Hulk might have the slight advantage when it comes to strength when fighting Aquaman, but that it debatable. What is going to give Red Hulk the advantage in this fight is his ability to make his body hotter. Because of Aquaman's Atlantean DNA, he is weakened by extreme heat. A prolonged fight not around a body of water favors Rulk. Red Hulk would assume this after knowing how Namor's body works. Rulk would more than likely grab Aquaman and jump or throw his as far away from the water as possible and beat him mercilessly while his body heats up and Aquaman passes out or gets knocked out from Rulk punching him over and over.

How does Aquaman Win:

"I am AQUAMAN-- the king of the seven seas. This is my birthright. This is my responsibility. And I will embrace it."-Aquaman

It's as "simple" as getting the Red Hulk under water. In the ocean, Rulk doesn't stand a chance. It's not like the fight will be easy, but Aquaman holds the advantage of being able to breathe under water while Rulk will eventually need air. There is also the plethora of sea creatures and monsters that Aquaman has at his disposal. There isn't much Red Hulk can do once he's underwater. Aquaman will be stronger, faster, and have him outnumbered. Aquaman is not above "cheating" and calling on his army and his sea monsters to help him win a fight. Just ask Namor when Aquaman made a whale jump out of a pool and land on him.

Thank you all for reading. If you have anything to add (negative or positive) or if there is anyone you think would make a good battle, let me know in the comment section.
