MTV's Scream: The TV Series is already off to a different start from the original film series that we know so well. Their mask design isn't exactly what we are used to, but fear not!
According to indie director Ti West's Twitter:
West is set to direct at least one episode, and he seems to still want to represent the new series with some elements that still pertain to the old films.
"The series kicks off after a cyberbullying incident results in a brutal murder, with the shocking violence stirring up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. It centers on a group of new teens — with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart — who become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of a killer who's out for blood."
Sounds like a storyline that we can really get into!
Scream: The TV Series stars Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, John Kama, Connor Well, and Bobby Campo and premieres tonight at 10 PM.
Time to cuddle up in some blankets, turn off the lights, and get ready to creep yourself out!
