The recent announcement that 20th Century Fox will release a recut [X-Men: Days Of Future Past](tag:203942) with 17 minutes of added Rogue had many of us fans excited. We may need to wait until July 14 for the Rogue Cut to make its way to stores, but anyone lucky enough to be attending San Diego Comic-Con can see the debut on July 11.

In addition to all of the discarded Rogue scenes, the DVD set will feature 90 minutes of special features and bonus footage. One deleted scene has gotten an early release and features Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) having an intimate moment.

I don't know about you, but there's only one thought that comes to mind after watching this clip.

Bryan Singer chose to cut the scene for the sake of continuity and pacing. With major political turmoil crumbling around the mutants, he felt it would seem out of place to have a sudden romance:

There were another couple of scenes which got cut, because they didn’t work technically in terms of the geography of how the movie played out in the end. Why [Mystique and Beast] would be here — when the world is about to end — and then we’ve nipped home quickly to have a good night’s sleep. Everyone was like, ‘Well, we can’t really do that.’ So there were a couple of extra scenes which got cut, unfortunately.

I, for one, have never been a huge fan of this coupling, especially after Beast essentially told Mystique that society would not accept her for who she really is in X-Men: First Class. Still, I'm a sucker for any deleted X-Men scene, so I'll be happily blue today.
