With his first feature-length film since Enter the Void in 2009, French director Gaspar Noé is coming back in a big way and refusing to hold back on steamy scenes in his latest project Love.

After debuting at Cannes, Indiewire said the artful, sex-driven film "delivers on that tease and then some by featuring the most hardcore onscreen sex ever to screen at Cannes." Well, take that, Fifty Shades of Grey!

The lustful nature of the film should come as a surprise to no one given the promotional posters that were released earlier this year (I'll let you look those up for yourself if you're interested) and the vague, yet intriguing, plot which describes the film as:

A sexual melodrama about a boy and a girl and another girl. It's a love story, which celebrates sex in a joyous way.

Clocking in at over two hours long, Love stars Karl Glusman as an American living in Paris who falls into a loving and passionate relationship with Aomi Muyock. Check out the trailer below:

Love has been picked up for distribution by Alchemy but has yet to be given a U.S. release date, but will be screened in France starting July 15 in 3D.
