The epic event, the premiere of Fear the Walking Dead comes out on an undisclosed Sunday in August, and it's safe to say it's going to be a beautiful night of television. With just a few more days before the San Diego Comic-Con, it's perfect timing for Fear (Which is what I'm arbitrarily going to start calling it. Can I do that?) to do some really cool promo.

And they've started. They just released a synopsis along with new promo art that will easily evoke some emotions in you in a super iconic location. But we'll get to that later.

The synopsis:

"A companion series to The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert and showrunner David Erickson and produced by AMC Studios. Co-Executive Producer Adam Davidson, who directed the pilot, is also directing the second and third episodes. The series’ first season, consisting of six one-hour episodes, will premiere on AMC in late summer."

Here's the cast: Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Ruben Blades as Daniel, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia and Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris.

And lastly, the aforementioned photo.

Right next to the Santa Monica pier, this iconic photo is getting me so excited for a few reasons.

  • 1. It's proof that they are going to really utilize the Los Angeles location for some awesome and iconic shots.
  • 2. If you notice the right foot drags while the left foot stomps, like a walker would.
  • 3. The sun is about to set which creates a creepy mood for what is "to come."
  • 4. "Fear Begins Here" is pretty much perfect, especially since we know the show is going to document the outbreak.

I can't wait to see what news comes out of San Diego.
