Since we had some new Fear the Walking Dead news come out in the last few days, I thought it was time to start gearing up for quite possibly one of the most important parts of The Walking Dead series.

Zomb...Walkers, you say? Nope!

Keeping the family together? Naw.

Is it the "who's going to die next week?" office pool that EVERY company should have? OH YEAH!

So why not get started on the FTWD death pool?

Travis (Cliff Curtis)

Can't say I can picture this guy with a RickBeard
Can't say I can picture this guy with a RickBeard

He's the Rick Grimes of this sucker. The big daddy. If they kill Rick Grimes off, they may as well pull the plug, so it's pretty safe to say Travis is safe. But...seeing that this is the first season...the producers could pull a HUGE fast one, and snuff him out in the season finale, before we get too attached.

Number of episodes IMDB says he appears in: all of season 1 (6)

Odds of dying in the first episode: 0%

Madison (Kim Dickens)

Madison may be Travis's fiance, but her chance of survival depends on her not being another Lori. Oh dear lordy, not another Lori.

Episodes: first season

Odds of dying in the first episode: 0%

Nick (Frank Dillane)

Madison's son, who, when you look at his bio (college flunky, drug addict and baggy pants, which are horrible if you're running from zombies), doesn't look like he has a very good chance at surviving. But, according to the international movied database...

Episodes: first season, as well

Odds of dying in the first episode: 0%

Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey)

Madison's other kid, who is the golden child compared to Nick. Smart, good at figuring stuff out...yeah she would have to be another big surprise death, like her future stepdaddy, Travis. Only bad thing? Her boyfriend, Matt. Slacker, jock...more on him later.

Episodes: Same as mom and future stepdad

Odds of dying in the first episode: 0%

Ofelia and Daniel (daughter and father) (Mercedes Mason and Ruben Blades)

Holy zombie hordes!
Holy zombie hordes!
This guy is happy

Not much info out there about them, except-

Episodes: 7!!! They make it past the first season alive. Very impressive.

Odds of either dying in the first episode: 0%

Matt (Maestro Harrell)

Tyrese...Bob...T-Dawg...so sorry
Tyrese...Bob...T-Dawg...so sorry

I'm sorry man...but all signs point to you being our first possible casualty of Fear the Walking Dead. IMDB is pretty much sealing your fate.

Episodes: 1 (sad face)

Odds of dying in the first episode: 99.99%

Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez) (What is it about using the actors' names for the characters?)

That stare is enough to take a walker down
That stare is enough to take a walker down

Travis's estranged (key word here) ex-wife and mama to their son Chris. All signs point to her not making it too far, but surprisingly, she's slated for surviving the first season. No clue about the second though...

Episodes: first 6

Odds of dying in the first episode: 0%

Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie)

Don't open those doors you're leaning on...
Don't open those doors you're leaning on...

Same as mom and dad!

Odds of dying in the first episode: 0%

These are most of the main characters, and as you can see, the odds are most definitely not in poor Matt's favor. The fact that he's only slated for one episode makes this whole thing pretty darn anti-climactic, so I'm going to call it like Edwin Jenner. He's going to bite it in the first episode in a very horrible, icky manner. One that he could have avoided if he wasn't such a slacker!

First casualty of FTWD: Matt

Last words: "Alicia, quit overreacting."

First innard you're going to see: intestines!

Amount of air time in first episode: approximately 42 minutes. They might be nice and let him make it till the end.

Get those office pools fired up for FTWD and TWD! I'm ahead in my work's death pool for TWD, and I intend to keep it that way!
