Netflix will soon be replacing the traditional television.

Netflix Inc. is the online streaming giant, which is regarded as the market leader in the streaming industry. It has been at the top for quite a long time now. In short, the streaming service has changed the perception of viewers considering how to watch television. It is credited for writing the future of the television industry.

However, the dominance of the company in the online video content market is taken for granted. It was the first company to market the largest online library of online movies and TV shows. Ever since then, it has continued to beef up its catalog to provide unlimited entertainment offerings and further plans to launch new originals and increase the quality of the video.

It is impossible so far to dethrone the stream king off its perch. Many companies have entered the market and tried but failed to do so. According to a recent consumer survey, it is here to lead the market for a long time now.

Nielsen, a market researching company, reported that Netflix is the most popular platform of video on demand service in the United States. According to the statistics, the streaming service is found in nearly 36% of the homes, whereas Amazon Prime Instant Video is found in 13%, and Hulu is found in 6.5%.

Netflix is a favorite for all, not only in the United States, but also for other users in various markets. More than 20% of consumers believe that it can easily replace the traditional broadcast television and pay TV services.

A media and technology analyst, Rich Greenfield, stated, “Netflix is winning the daily war for consumer time and attention. Just a few years ago, the 'knock' on Netflix was there was not enough to stream/watch. Now consumers are building up personal 'bucket' lists of series they want to see on Netflix — new and library content is coming on faster than it can be consumed/watched.”

According to sources, it is believed that Netflix users pay minimum 2 hours daily to stream the online video content service. The influence of the streaming giant is so strong that it might force cable and satellite TV providers to offer services at more affordable and cheaper rates or go out of business.

The organization is said to be expanding rapidly in every corner of the world, as it has planned to be in most parts of the world by the end of 2016. Therefore, the chances are strong and it is the best contender to replace the traditional television.
