I first started writing for Moviepilot.com late December 2014 after having a theory about a crossover episode between The Flash and Arrow, and telling someone about it on Facebook they said I should start writing some of my theories down for web publication so I did and this is my 7th article writing for MoviePilot.
Since starting, I’ve met some awesome people on Moviepilot that are happy to help me when I need whether it’s a question that I have, or their opinion on a range of different concepts. Another good thing about the Moviepilot community is that they are always nice and never judgemental. When I ask other contributors what they think of a non-movie related articles they generally suggest that I write about what I want and others often say that they would like to see my article once it’s finished. The feedback is usually positive saying great work and good job. In addition to receiving positive feedback you can go in the draw for winning prizes for things such as competitions reaching a milestone of some sort.
One bad aspect of my use of Moviepilot is that I live in Australia so when I have questions I often have to wait until the next day for a response because of time zones. Apart from that contributing to the website is a great way to meet new people and be a part of a friendly online community. If anyone is thinking of article writing and is pretty good at writing I would definitely recommend to join up.
Moviepilot isn’t just about writing articles about movies. Many people post about anything they are into within the realm of Nerd-dom such as music, books. Moviepilot isn’t just about reading and writing articles, you can do so much more like make quizzes and review your favorite movies or shows. If you are struggling to think of what to write about they even have topic suggestions to write about daily.
I’ve asked a few contributors from Moviepilot for a couple of statements on their amazing thoughts on Moviepilot.
“Moviepilot has done something for individuals that I wish it had done for me when I was younger. Not many of my friends in high school/college loved movies like I did. To now have a place to put your thoughts and opinions on the internet and meet people who are like-minded across the world makes you feel like you're FINALLY in a Community and you belong. Moviepilot is the home of Creators not critics -- we write about what we love and not what we hate. Due to that, there's a certain amount of passion that you can't replicate. It’s amazing to show the world that fans do have an opinion, say, and power when it comes to films.” Andrew Marco, MoviePilot Community Manager.
“Well Moviepilot is...my second family. Moviepilot is the place from where my LOVE for writing increased a ton. Since the past one year, I have been writing on Moviepilot and I wish for many more to come. I simply love this website. The people from MP Community or the staff are so epic that I don’t have words to describe them.” Shadan Syed, MoviePilot contributor
