Now, if there's one way to make beloved superhero icons even cooler (and there sure aren't a lot) there's a good chance it'd be by combining them with another, equally beloved, superhero icon.

After all, while two heads may not always be better than one when it comes to decision making or mono-directional walking, the doubling up of superheroes has the tendency to produce general comic-book awesomeness.

It's good news, then, that the intrepid folks over at Prince Armory took one look at Iron Man and clearly thought "y'know what'd make him cooler? Asgardian armor, like Thor's."

And then, that was exactly what they made:

That's right - that's actual, factual Asgardian-style Iron Man armor - the kind both Tony Stark and Thor would likely kill to wear.

The best part? Not only is it inherently pretty awesome...

...but it's also got me thinking (OK, fine, day-dreaming) about just how we could see something like that on the big screen...

Anyone else now totally down for an extended Iron Man cameo in Thor: Ragnarok (or an Asgard-tinged Iron Man 4)?

Sadly, that may be nothing more than an idle hope - and sadder still, we can't actually buy the epic armor above. Prince Armory does make custom armors to fit your exact archaic militaristic requirements, though, so if you just have to have one, don't panic - they can probably make that happen.

In the meantime, though - that armor sure is cool, huh?

What do you think, though?
