Elder Scrolls Online has been in the hands of Xbox One and PS4 gamers for a mere matter of weeks, but we've already seen it become one of the best selling games around the world at the moment, even outselling The Witcher 3 in the UK for two weeks in a row. All of the initial reviews the game received don't seem to have dissuaded fans from playing the next adventure in the Elder Scrolls universe.

Elder Scrolls Online certainly has its issues, of that there can be no doubt. However, this is still an immensely addictive MMO with some incredible PvP combat. The PvE is pretty good too, it just fails in comparison to everything we've come to love about Elder Scrolls. But are Xbox One and PS4 owners as dedicated to ESO as the PC gaming community was?

Elder Scrolls Online - Xbox One, PS4 & PC Communities

In the months that followed the initial release date of ESO for the PC on April 4th, 2014, the PC community slowly started to abandon ZeniMax Online's MMO. The game was rife with bugs, appalling prices, a crippling subscription fee and essentially wasn't the Skyrim Online we'd all hoped it was. However, after a year of patches and complete transformations to certain aspects of its gameplay - ESO has become a much better game and the PC community has returned in droves!

Xbox One and PS4 owners have received a far superior version of Elder Scrolls Online in comparison to what PC owners were handed in April last year. After all, the fact that this is no longer a subscription-based MMO, Elder Scrolls Online has so much more worth. And it seems that Xbox One and PS4 owners are sharing the love! If you take a look at The Elder Scrolls Online subreddit, there are literally pages of posts for every single day.

ESO - Uniting Elder Scrolls Fans

How awesome is that? Xbox One and PS4 gamers were being warned by members of the PC community about the hackers that would destroy their game on the release date of Elder Scrolls Online. Thankfully, I have yet to see any kind of activity that relates to such a statement - and I'm not alone! Xbox One and PS4 players have been really complimentary of the support they've received from PC gamers! Experts of ESO have been more than willing to share their knowledge for the crowd of newcomers sweeping into the Summerset Isles.

Now, it hasn't brought the whole gaming community together forever. The console and PC wars will continue. But it's awesome to see the PS4 and XBOX One crowd receive support from those that have been playing the game for a long time. They've been as engaged with The Elder Scrolls Online as the PC community have been and here's hoping those who love the game will keep playing in the months to come.
