First blog! ... Hope you enjoy :)

After a while of reading, agreeing and even disagreeing with people blogging about the movies that I love (and don't love) it occurred to me to start writing some myself! And here I am! But where to begin? That's always the question isn't it! It's like when I'm home on a Thursday night and I look at my stack of movies and TV shows and I wonder what should I watch - and I always come to the same conclusion.... Just close my eyes and point - HA! There it is a movie I haven't seen in what feels like forever (but I can still quote the best lines) and I have my first flick of the night!

Now of course we all have our "go to" movies don't we?! So tonight (as I watch the very underrated Vampire academy) I have decided to tell you what my top "go to" movies are! Who knows maybe we share a few!

1. Friends with Benefits - I personally love Justin in this movie, he is funny and a little weird (showering in socks?) the whole concept of having a "friend with benefits" has been going around for a long time now and I couldn't agree more - it just doesn't work! But we like to think it can so we try it Over and over again and we can never admit it didn't or isn't working but we can watch as our two leads pretend they have their shit under control! All in all its just a relaxing movie that you don't have to think to much about! Perfect for a quiet night and a bowl of popcorn!

2. Scream! - Scary movies aren't scary anymore but I'll never forget the night I first watched scream with my white chocolate M&M's and head hiding in a blanket! re-watching it always brings back that feeling (when I was young enough to be scared by crazies in killer masks!)

3. The Crow - now this movie isn't for everyone! It's a B grade movie with a weird storyline but I just can't resist Brendan Lee! He was so beautiful and scary all at the same time in this movie and I just can't get enough of him!

4. Armageddon - The world if about to end! We need some oil riggers out here ASAP! - said no one ever! But this tear jerking movie gets me every time! With unrealistic plot lines, romance, sadness and the possibility of the world ending this movie has a touch of everything (expect aliens) including Bruce willis sacrificing himself for the world! What more could a girl need!?

5. Pirates of the Caribbean - Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are reason enough to watch these movies! Along with the comedy, romance and the black pearl of course! Who doesn't love a good pirate movie every once in a while!

6. PS: I love you - This is just the mother of all chick flicks but I love it none the less! I've heard debates (among my family) that they think it's a little morbid that Gerry (Gerard Butler) planned all of this after he had died but I don't think so at all! To see how well he knew her and how she wouldn't be able to live without his help makes me want to cry thinking about it! This movie does require a box of tissues while watching but it's a movie worth crying for!

7. American Pie - Any and all of them! They make you laugh even when you know it's the stupidest thing you have ever seen or heard! And when you don't want to think these movies are the way to go tho I don't recommend watching them all at once or you mag actually drop a few IQ points!

So there you have it!! My top 7 go to movies! With hundreds more I will think of as soon as I post this I'm sure! Sometimes we need a little brainless humour, or a cry into our chocolate and sometimes we need a little revenge for love!

Either way they've rocked my TV screen many times and they will keep on rocking!
