The first movie I ever saw in a theater was Star Wars when I was 6 years old in 1977 and it changed my life like it did many others'. From that day on I was always sketching storm troopers and space battles. Reading about the creature creation background matte paintings, and the poster art of Amsel and Struzan made me want to be an artist when I grew up. Even though that dream of becoming a professional illustrator has come true, a job working in movies never came to be. But a boy can still dream.

It is that dream that inspires me to do fan art of my favorite movies and shows. Here, of course, is my favorite one of them all: Star Wars. Ever since it was announced that they would be bringing the franchise back I have been thinking about it, and now, because the fine folks at Moviepilot thought you would enjoy my art, I would like to share with you my version of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed working on it.
