Rocksteady's epic conclusion to their critically lauded Batman trilogy, Arkham Knight, started off not with a bang, but with a burn. Specifically, the burning of the Clown Prince of Crime, Joker, who's reduced to a pile of make-up smeared ashes in the game's rather horrific opening scene.

If you've played it, you'll be familiar with these inflammatory opening moments, but I bet you didn't know that another secret version of the same sequence exists, only revealing itself to the most dedicated, veteran players.

For reference, here's the original scene:

And here's the secret second version (skip to the 3:50 mark to get to the action)...

“This is how it happened. This is how the Joker died.”

Pretty cool, huh? Listing to Joker's cackling laugh as he goes up in flames makes it extra disturbing to watch, and is an ultra cool easter egg for those who know the game's story.

According to Kotaku, the alternate intro only reveals itself to people who have beaten the game at least once, and who've started new game plus mode, providing dedicated games with a cool little bonus.

Which intro do you prefer?
