I never even thought that this topic would come up, but I was surprised that there are some threads on the web talking major smack about Rocksteady "forcing" them to use the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Jolly Jack, a Deviant Art artist that I watch came out and said that it is was major crap that he had to drive in the game! He sucks at driving games and he doesn't want to play one, so why would Rocksteady force him, or any gamer to drive in this game?
The only Batmobile complaint I ever had during my playing experience is that I would lose control of the car going upside down in a tunnel, but other that that I just needed a little practice on the turning. The thing is super touchy, but it wasn't impossible to get down. A lot of people give up super easily now a days when things get hard, especially in video games now a days, so I feel like if something does not come naturally, gamers will complain about the lack of control. Sure it sucks, but there will always be a level or some type of thing in a video game that we are not good at doing or using. (If it all comes easy though out the game then I feel like the developers let you down ).
Now for the "Forcing" part of Rocksteady. I feel having the Batmobile is necessary for the story line. What kind of epic ending would you have if you just fought bad guys like you did in the previous games? Having a huge militia out to get you seemed like a daunting task for Batman, so they had to come up with some major firepower to help Batman. Also, do you think Batman is a professional racer or that driving came natural? You have to become the Batman! I don't think Bruce Wayne studied driving and car stunts while traveling the world(Don't quote me). He studied Martial arts, and many hand to hand training. The last thing this guy wants to do is rely on his vehicle to save his life.
Batman is feeling the same way you do about the Batmobile, but it is something that you, and Batman, have to do to save Gotham. Sure it sucks and everything is not perfect, but that is life! We just have to make the best of it and save Gotham with whatever means possible. You'll grow from the experience and it will give you a sense of accomplishment.
Stop hating things that you don't like or not used to, there is too much of that in this World now. Just enjoy the "ride". (Play on words, mwhaha!)
