Sorry I haven't been writing much lately, but I'm SUPER busy (I still have puns, though)
I've been thinking a lot about how to keep writing a lot on not just forgetting and I decided to write something every Monday called - In All Seriousness
It's basically an opinion article series.
My first topic is - BATMAN V. SUPERMAN!!!
A lot of stuff have come up about Batman v. Superman recently, so I'll write what I think about all that stuff (descriptions, images, videos, etc.) and then write about what I think about the movie in general and a ton of stuff I think:
Let's hop straight into it: IMAGES!
This is to bada** for me to even talk about right now
I'm geeking out.
Everyone who doubted Gal Gadot was right for the part were wrong. How the actor/actress look is nothing (The uniform is definently something, but..) and the portrayal is everything. Michael B. Jordan may not look like Johnny Storm, but what I've seen in the promos, not the dark trailers, amazes me and makes me think he's right for the character even more.
After that, though, I'll actually get down to the real business. They appear to be at a gala of some sort, which reminds me of this:
And it could be exactly that kind of situation. Wonder Woman and Batman could've run into each other somewhere, potentially in a fight with Superman, or, WILD GUESS! A.R.G.U.S.
Bats is already confirmed for Suicide Squad, in a battle scene with Joker, and Wonder Woman is a kind of diplomat in Justice League: War, so if Batman somehow is in the government (As I'm writing this, I see how stupid it is) they could be looking for Clark Kent, especially if it is a gala for charity or something like that. Aquaman is also rumored to have a connection with them, and Cyborg could definitely be one of theirs (Star Labs an afilliate? Opens up the door to the Flash)
On to the next one:
So no one told you Lex was gonna be this way
So, we see Lex Luthor sporting a red ( my hair color!) Rachel haircut and dressing in clothes that you would see in a college a couple years back. So, this is obviously gonna be a flashback. Lex is already bald in the other promo art, so he could just wear random wigs around, or this is just a picture of a flashback. I really don't care about this image
First off, this is definitely the same sequence as this image
from the trailer, and seems kind of like they are worshiping Superman. The makeup on the people's faces kind of reminds me of Day of the Dead. The people surrounding him look scared and trying to get help from him, so maybe it's an old western stare down between Superman and someone else (Lex in armor?) He definitely looks solemn,
He could be looking at this
"It didn't have to come down to this, Bruce"
"It does, and you know it in your heart. There's no room for both of us"
"Losers, we have to fight a bald guy"
"We're exchanging glances, Diana"
Here you go
Why just stare at each other, you ask.
My theory is they are exchanging words, or Kryptonite is in Superman's body
"Slowly, You'll feel the effects. I had to make a deal with a bald Zuckerberg to get it."
"I don't feel any--- Ow, man"
"OWWWWWWWWWW! D*** move." (passes out)
Or it's like Captain America giving orders to the Avengers
"Superman, go laser into his armor, find the weaknesses. We have to keep you away from the behemoth"
"Since when were you the leader"
"Since I said so"
"Listen to him, Batman. We've got no time left"
"Aquaman says to attack now"
"Diana, make him stop talking to himself in the third person"
"Just attack already, idiots"
Or maybe the same sequence as this: And the blood of the Kryptonian fight
Now, for a description of that^
It looks like Batman is just giving himself away for Superman to find him to prepare for the money shot of all money shots. The rain and darkness just enforces Snyder's colorblind approach to The DC universe.
The battle will probably be interrupted by either Wonder Woman stopping the fighting, Lex attacking, or Aquaman doing something. Honestly, I don't care about Khal Momoa right now.
All of these are taken from Entertainment Weekly
Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and his loyal butler, Alfred (Jeremy Irons), are gravely intoning their lines into a burned-out fireplace, as Bruce prepares for his Valley of Elah moment with Superman. The billionaire vigilante appears weary but determined, not unlike the actor portraying him.
The last sentence made me stop and chuckle when I first read it. Okay, so it reminds me of when Michael Caine and Christian Bale's characters (they aren't Alfred and Batman any more :( :( :( :( ) are discussing plans against Bane and Michael Caine gets really sad and cries and leaves and all that crap. Alfred will be a voice of reason, no matter what.
Hopefully they do a version of it where Alfred is an ex-soldier (Gotham for DCCU canon!)
In his editing suite in Pasadena last month, Snyder showed off early passes of the money sequence, a rainy rooftop battle between the two capes. There’s an undeniable thrill to watching these pop culture icons go at it–throwing each other through walls and skylights.
Not much we didn't already know. I can't wait to see it.
Snyder also reveals a scene in the Batcave where Bruce Wayne outlines his motivations to a skeptical Alfred, a bit of realpolitik reasoning that weighs the morality of a preemptive strike on Superman against even the minimal chance of humanity’s destruction.
See - First description
I think they are talking about experimenting with Kryptonite and if it goes wrong. Maybe he is working with Lex about the Superman problem.
I think this is the section I will be spending the least of my time while making some pretty cool thoughts
I think these are the characters motivations against Superman in the movie
Bats - I think that Detective Gordon was killed during the fight with Zod and the destruction. Rumors have already stated that Gordon is expected to be dead in this universe. Gordon was a good friend and mentor, so he wants to see what this Superman thing was about
Wonder Woman - I think she is in the civilian mode as Diana Prince, and she's a UN ambassador for her country working on deciding what to do with Superman. In her costumed identity, she is investigating him same as Batman
Aquaman - I'm going with the rumors of the World Engine destruction being a factor.
Lex Luthor - Doesn't like people being better than him, and he was interested in experimenting with the Kryptonian tech because he's bored.
I think Batman v Superman is playing catch up with Marvel, but I'm excited to see where WB takes it. I would've liked for the fighting to take place later, so they could run a Dark Knight Returns arc, but it's still a top movie on my list.
